According to the conclusions of the Leningrad expedition of archaeologists, Suleiman-Too has been a sacred place since ancient times. And now it attracts a lot of people with its natural strength. The epicenter museum is located in a cave that was allegedly used for rituals in pre-Islamic times. Climbing the mountain is not difficult, and a child will overcome it. The exposition is interesting, although not very large. Some exhibits require restoration. From above there is a beautiful view of the city of Osh and the surrounding area. The cost of the entrance ticket is budgetary.

Taking into account the fact that there is really nowhere else to go in Osh (in terms of cultural enrichment, not a walk), then, for the absence of competitors ... 4*. But to be honest, 3. The ticket costs 40 som without climbing the pilgrim trail. There is a hill walk to the museum itself, but there is free water in the museum itself. Great view of the city, which has nothing remarkable.
In the museum itself, in fact, there is one hall with exhibits - a few fossil shards, and a staircase with ancient people and stuffed animals. And everything. As a museum, it is very weak. But it's a sacred place.

Incredible beauty ❤
Before climbing the steps, of course, the steep slope is under 40* but these are all small things, compared to the fact that we saw such beauty.

I didn't find anything interesting for myself in the museum. I climbed the mountain for 4 days in a row. It was worth it! It was very useful to take a break from the hustle and bustle there

I really liked it. The view is gorgeous, the route is easy. There are railings, steps everywhere, and places to rest. And, of course, a stunning view of the city from all sides. The museum itself is not big, but interesting, it's great to visit the cave! Thanks to those who organized all this 🙏

the Prophet Suleiman himself was here, with (Solomon) a very beautiful mountain right in the middle of the city. If you go up, you see the weight of the city, I advise everyone to visit this magnificent country at least once 👌

I liked the route along the mountain more than the museum itself. Since there are very few exhibits, but it is worth the money. Beautiful view of the city, there are steps, places to relax, urns. The whole view is spoiled by garbage and inscriptions on the mountain, steps, roof....

The museum is in a very beautiful, picturesque place.
It's a very cheap entrance, but unfortunately there's not much to see.
The halls are half-empty.
For school trips, that's the thing 👍

A small museum right in the mountain. It's cool even in summer. A small price, but payment is only in cash.
I didn't like that the museum was poorly maintained: the posters were faded, the broken exhibits were tied up with duct tape.

One of the most unusual museums: located in a rock inside a huge cave. I'm not rich in exhibits, and stuffed animals are personally unpleasant to me, but the place is very interesting.

One of the largest museums in Kyrgyzstan is located in Osh at the foot of the Sulaiman Mountain of the same name, a tourist attraction of the city and a famous place of Muslim pilgrimage. The museum was established in 1949. It has been renamed several times over its long history. The museum houses more than 33 thousand exhibits related to the history, archeology, art, and nature of the southern region of Kyrgyzstan.
In 2000, on the occasion of the celebration of the 3000th anniversary of Osh, a new building with an area of 1100 square meters was transferred to the museum.
The exposition of the museum complex was divided into two main sections dedicated to the nature of the region and its history. Here you will find ancient manuscripts and coins, household items and felt products, books and photographs, as well as gifts to the city from high representatives of foreign countries.
The branches of the Sulaiman-Too museum complex include several small regional museums, such as the Urkuy Saliev Museum, the Museum of the Nookat district, the Ozgon architectural complex (Uzgen), the Museum of the collective farm "Russia".
Also, the Osh Museum "Sulaiman-Too" also includes the only Museum of Spiritual Culture in Kyrgyzstan, located on the southern slope of Mount Rushan. The ground floor of this museum consists of expanded karst caves, and the upper floor consists of a natural cave. The building has 13 rooms with a total area of 1,238 sq.m.
The artifacts collected in the museum are somehow connected with many religious cults that have existed in Central Asia since ancient times: from animism and shamanism to world religions.
The location of the Museum of Spiritual Culture on one of the peaks of Suleiman-Too is not accidental. There are petroglyphs, some of them dating back thousands of years, as well as at least 12 holy caves visited by numerous pilgrims. In ancient times, hermits lived in these caves, altars and mazars were located, so people come here to pray and ask for help from the saints.
