I love News Cafe for its simple but delicious breakfasts and relaxed but elegant atmosphere. I appreciate the unobtrusive and attentive service very much, I am always grateful to the waiters) A proper nutrition menu has recently appeared - it's just a godsend, I often take dishes with me to eat after a workout. And it is also the most ideal location to spend time on the terrace in summer! You won't regret it, this place is more than 10 years old, and it's always consistently good here!

Great place! We have been visiting this place for many years. Fashionable, cozy cafe, excellent location, pleasant atmosphere, exquisite cuisine. Margarita, the manager, also made noticeable improvements to the cafe's life: a regularly updated, affordable menu from a talented chef, a close-knit team and warm attention to every visitor.
Special attention should be paid to regular festive evenings for the guests of the institution. And A Novelty!- delicious cakes and ready-made dishes for the festive takeaway table!
And the incredible decor of the entrance to the cafe is a great area for selfies - a wonderful bonus for guests from the institution!
In general, we love this place ourselves and recommend it to all guests to visit!

We came with a 3.5-year-old child to have breakfast, because next to the hotel it was the only place where breakfast is prepared within walking distance.
As a result, we chose oatmeal porridge with an English breakfast and waited an HOUR. For some reason, the waitress did not warn us that the English breakfast was taking so long to prepare, only when our patience ran out and we began to wonder why it took so long. I was surprised that the porridge was also expected in time.... The prices are quite high, but the indifference and attitude of the staff of the institution is alarming. I am writing a review so that those who suddenly find themselves in such a situation can ask in advance the cooking time of the dishes and not fall into this trap of long waiting.... There is nothing to entertain children there, the only thing inside in the courtyards is a playground, which saved us from such a long wait. It was just a shame for the child, who had to wait so long and eventually had to wait for breakfast through hysterics with the help of persuasion to return to the cafe.
There is nothing outstanding in taste, oatmeal porridge is quite salty in combination with berries, it tastes a little strange.
The English breakfast consisted of fried potatoes, mushrooms, tomatoes, eggs, beans and sausages. How much does the hour justify the cooked dish....The big question…
Unfortunately, it is a complete disappointment and only negative impressions about the cafe. I have not seen such an indifferent attitude towards the guests of the establishment for a long time, and the kitchen is completely ordinary.

Overall, everything is fine.
We tried the risotto with shrimp and dried tomatoes - the taste is juicy and not flat. Salmon risotto is an interesting flavor of the sauce.
We took two lemonades from the drinks - we slightly overdid the acidity with cranberries.

The laudatory reviews do not meet expectations.
The tables are dirty for some reason (not only ours), they look very scratched.
The food ranges from pretty mediocre to stunningly tasteless (we took breakfast).
The English breakfast is terrible. Judging by the reviews, a couple of months ago it was possible to eat sausage in it, but what was served is impossible to eat. It was as if it was cooked in a slow cooker, without salt and pepper, from the cheapest minced meat. Perhaps it is worth changing the supplier and sending the cook to the courses, because he could not fry the potatoes in a rustic way. The only thing that could be delicious and was fried was bacon, which is not included in the dish, despite the fact that breakfast costs a little more than average.
Deserved two stars and those only for the work of the waiters, to whom there are no complaints.

Oatmeal porridge is fine here, but it's sooo sweet. Thanks to the two-level pyramid of additives towering in the plate above the oatmeal itself, the crown of which is a cold cream of condensed milk, thanks to which porridge is perceived here more as a dessert than a main course for breakfast.
The cheesecakes here are bland and a little dry, but they come with two sauces, one of which is delicious raspberry jam, just like in grandma's village.

A wonderful cafe, one of the best in Minsk. Very tasty author's cuisine, dishes that you come back for again. Over the past three months, I have visited Minsk twice and dined at this wonderful cafe each time. In the photo, favorite dishes: squid with asparagus and salmon appetizer with guacamole. A nice little thing that shows concern for the guest, you will definitely get a glass of water, as in restaurants in Paris. Even in Moscow, this rarely happens. I also recommend trying the apple pie with a scoop of ice cream. Waiting for 15 minutes to prepare the dessert will be rewarded with the enjoyment of it. Pay attention to the cocktails, a very decent performance, both alcoholic and non-alcoholic.

A dish with halibut for such a high price has no taste at all, and even gives off fish oil. Salmon pie is not a pie, but a pie and it smells terribly of fish oil, as if scraps were added to the minced meat. Caesar according to the classics is not Caesar, but a mayonnaise salad with croutons. By the way, any of these croutons tasted better than halibut.
Two stars for not including the pie in the bill. I ate halibut from hunger, so it's not worth it.

I really liked the kitchen and the service. Delicious dishes, just in moderation, interesting tastes. I would especially like to mention cocktails and cappuccino. The coffee is great. Cocktails captivated us with an original and balanced combination of ingredients.
The waiters and hostesses are very attentive and friendly. We are used to the Moscow service, so some of the establishments in Minsk "surprised" us a little with the service. The service at News is at a high level. We enjoyed our stay with you very much.
We will definitely come back to you again!

I look at the reviews and I think we went to the wrong cafe.... I ordered a burger......it tastes good, but not Wow.....it's the size of a hamburger in a mac.....BUT THE PRICE IS WOW!!!! My wife was served pumpkin soup - it tastes good, but the oil around the edges is a little strange... The price clearly prevails over the quality!!!! Staff - no questions, everything is clear!!!!

We went in for coffee. The smoking side of the veranda is fully occupied. Non-smokers. although it is practically free in the "no smoking" zone. It is a pity that the staff does not monitor the logistics of the guests. Coffee is normal. Bruschetta is certainly not quite bruschetta (this is probably some kind of nightmare of Belarusian chefs), but the pate is tender, fresh and the bread (in a sandwich, not a bruschetta) is not thick and perfectly toasted. Lemonade is delicious and refreshing. The waiters are moderately kind. Five stars exclusively for the pate. The rest is at level 3-4. We wanted to be fashionable and modern - it turned out as always.
