We stayed at this hotel for the New Year holidays. No complaints, clean, cozy, polite friendly staff with typical Abkhazian cordiality and hospitality. On New Year's Eve, we had a surprise - a New Year's buffet with dancing and songs! And the main thing is that the location is good - it takes about seven minutes to walk to the sea, there are cafes and a park nearby. Everything is within walking distance. Thank you so much for our winter fairy tale!

We stayed from 08/14.24 to 08/24.24. on the fourth floor with a view from the window of the monastery at the foot of the mountains. I liked the hotel, it was clean and cozy. The receptionists are just great, they always tell you, they are always smiling and good-natured. The rooms are clean, they were cleaned every other day, we even sometimes refused, jokingly saying that we did not have time to litter. The Internet is wonderful, fast in the rooms and on site. There were three meals in the dining room. The food is ordinary, simple, but satisfying, the portions are normal, we visited. The only thing is that the food is bland, without applying anything, it could be easily corrected, fried, seasoned, housewives know how to do it. Well, in the evening at dinner and after, you can turn on light music, it doesn't hurt and everything is there for that. In general, I liked the hotel, I wish you development and prosperity.

And three stars for the fact that some vacationers can relax with music until one o'clock in the morning right under the windows of the room, and others early in the morning on the plane… Although all the surrounding restaurants turn off the music at 23:00. They told the administrator, and in response - they rest, but you endure. And don't like it at all. Don't come. We've been here three times, and that's enough, we won't come anymore. Advice to those who will go, do not argue and do not swear with the administrator Marina. The principle is that the client is always wrong. Remember, you are in a foreign country - there is no one to complain to.

This is the second time we have rested in this hotel. We like Nikopol very much. I recommend it to everyone. Very nice rooms, without pathos, but clean and tidy. The main thing is there is no noise from the air conditioner unit, and in general it is a very quiet place. I would like to thank the administration separately, they solved any of our issues with pleasure, and even more. The kitchen is separate - everything is delicious, at home. My husband is big, and the girls, seeing that the man, gave him extra. No one stayed hungry, even when they arrived late from excursions. Everyone was waited for and fed. We are always pleased with the cost, it is an acceptable price throughout the resort. We didn't take a photo of the hotel itself, but the place there is beautiful.

A new clean hotel. New Athos is a small village, everything is very compact and close to all the sights. Waterfall 3 min , Psyrsha 3 min through stairs and tunnel . The sea is 7-10 minutes on foot.

A hotel with balconies. If you stand facing the entrance to the hotel (with your back to the Griffin Hotel), there is a good view of the monastery, mountains and nature from the rooms on the right side of the entrance.
The rooms on the left hand are more difficult .
The first rooms from the entrance are all the same (monastery / mountains), but the last (end) view and smell of the parking lot of construction equipment and dumpsters. Alas .
This is about the rooms that look at the entrance.
The reverse side is all to the right !The rooms are on a public toilet, to the left of the entrance are residential buildings and a bit of a mountain.
In the off-season, the hotel is excellent, the nature in March is wonderful.
The weather is sunny .

I liked the hotel, clean, cozy, daily cleaning.The staff is friendly and responsive to any request.The meals are three times a day, the breakfasts are very tasty (different porridges, super), lunch and dinner depend on the taste, but everything is always fresh and the chefs did not repeat the dishes during the 10 days that we were there.You won't stay hungry, but if you want something else, there are a lot of good cafes nearby.It takes about 15 minutes to get to the sea, walking slowly along a shady alley.

The hotel is small and cozy.

The rooms are clean, but I would like a better quality. Bed linen, towels, pillows, blanket. But in general, it's not bad. If you expect services like abroad, alas, everything is different here. And you have to be ready for this, personally, it's okay for me. At least I've traveled a lot. After all, I'm going there to see and relax in nature. After all, Abkhazia is a country of the soul. This year we had a rest in Abkhazia, New Athos at the Nikopol hotel.
This hotel is located in the very center and all the famous sights of New Athos are within walking distance: waterfalls, caves, monastery, cable car and fortress.
When we arrived, the hotel receptionist Marina greeted us like family. We stayed in a semi-luxury room. A room with all amenities and a fresh renovation. The view from the window was of the mountains. The food is excellent and varied. I would like to note that the pastries are simply excellent. It takes 10 minutes to walk to the sea, but you don't notice this road, because all the way you admire the incredible nature of this region, flowering plants, palm trees. Upon returning from the beach, the room was always cleaned, bed linen and towels were often changed. We were very satisfied and recommend this hotel to everyone!

This year, my daughter and I decided to choose a vacation in Abkhazia, New Athos 17.06.24-26.06.24. A great place to relax. We stayed at the Nikopol Hotel.The location of the hotel is excellent, close to the sea and in a quiet location. Upon arrival, we were greeted by two wonderful receptionists. They told us everything in detail about the hotel, about the sights that are close to the hotel. We arrived at 13-30, lunch at 14-00. But we were escorted and fed from the road 30 minutes earlier. The room is clean and cozy. The balcony overlooked the monastery, the view was gorgeous. The floors were cleaned every day, which was surprisingly pleasant. The standard meals corresponded to the price of the voucher. The hotel was always quiet. The rest was a success) Thank you to the staff of the Nikopol hotel for their warm hospitality. We plan to return next year! I hope the roses at the reception after our departure pleased the eyes of vacationers)))

We had a vacation with my husband and daughter in July 2024, in room 109. I liked everything very much. Close to the sea , cleanliness in the rooms , constant cleaning and replacement of pastel and towels. The girls at the reception Marina and Olya are very polite, they will help and tell you everything. The women in the kitchen (unfortunately, they did not ask their names) prepare a variety of homemade, delicious food. Also, when our daughter got rotovirus, the women offered their help by brewing a special decoction, for which they are especially grateful. We were very satisfied and will definitely come back!

We had a rest in March 2025 for 2200 days. Price-quality matches. The rooms are a little tired, but the rooms on the ground floor are being renovated, so whoever comes here in May and beyond, I think they will already be able to move into the renovated rooms. Half of the rooms actually have a view of the construction site and the toilet, and if the view is important to you, check the possibility of checking in with the administrator. There was always hot and cold water. Soap, shampoo, gel are provided. A hairdryer was provided, and an iron is freely available on the floor.The only thing in the room in March was that the floor was very, very cold for me. The tiles on the floor have not been warmed up since winter. I recommend that those who travel in the spring/winter period take their slippers with them. I suggest offering/selling slippers at the reception. Otherwise, everything is fine-all the sights are within walking distance. We specially went to see New Athos, as we liked it during the sightseeing tour from Sochi. They didn't regret it. The city is beautiful, the hotel did not spoil the experience. I think we'll be back.

They gave out a heater, but there was no request from me))- the temperature just dropped at night and a heater appeared by "magic")). They advised me where to eat delicious food, and the reality exceeded expectations. If I happen to come again on a business trip to Abkhazia, I will stay in Nikopol.

We had a rest at the end of August and this is the second visit to this hotel. I like the location, very friendly staff, clean and well-groomed territory. Meals are served three times a day, as in good canteens. The rooms are nice, cleaned every day, towels were changed every other day. Among the disadvantages are weak Wi-Fi and small parking.

I liked the hotel.
There is a cave and waterfalls nearby.
The scenery around is fascinating.
Breakfast, lunch and dinner were included, as in canteens without frills but delicious (thanks to the canteen staff).

When they saw the place where the hotel is located (a dirt road led to it), they were skeptical about the declared comfort. In addition, an electric generator was rumbling in the yard.
But in fact, everything was on the level!
We were met at the reception by a charming girl (similar to Russian).
She explained that our fears were in vain.
The generator works only from 16 to 18, when there is no light in the whole of Abkhazia.
The room is clean, the bed linen is clean.
There are minor flaws that require cosmetic repairs, but this does not affect the comfort and quality of rest in any way.
After a long journey, we had a great rest!
The guest guard told me where and how it is easier to go, how to do it.
There is parking for 6-8 cars.
There is a heater in the room (we were in November).
PS: do not leave the balcony door open. A mouse ran in from the street, had to be kicked out.

In Abkhazia for the second time. There is something to compare it with. The hotel can be praised for its cleanliness. The food was very disappointing. Before choosing a hotel, we read reviews and many wrote that the food was delicious. Of course, we knew perfectly well that the hotel was 3⭐ and it wasn't worth waiting much, but we were waiting for it to be at least delicious. The food is ordinary, then pasta, then buckwheat. The meat is tough, the menu is not varied. The first 3 days were a complete disappointment. But then they rehabilitated themselves. Many residents began to complain and the food got better. For example, coffee is not in 3in1 bags (it's disgusting), but they just put coffee, sugar and milk. Which made me very happy! And the menu itself has become more diverse. But I can't say that it's very tasty. We ate and it's good that it's not pasta. For the first few days, cold pasta could be given 2 times a day, which was shocking. That year we were in Novaya Gagra. The Apsila Hotel is 2 stars. The hotel itself is very modest, but clean. The food there surprised us very much and pleased us with its variety. In Nikopol, for example, for lunch there is a vinaigrette, soup and cold pasta with a tasteless cutlet, then for dinner there will be the same vinaigrette, soup. We bought a package tour. These are flights, transfers, accommodation and meals. We gave 130,000 rubles for this hotel, as I think it is expensive. Last year, a similar set cost us 65,000 rubles. The difference is 2 times. That's why we're so disappointed. We booked the last room and there were no rooms with a balcony. Which is sad, of course. Wi-Fi works well throughout the hotel. They put us up on the 4th floor. To dry swimsuits and towels only outdoors, on the ground floor. This is very inconvenient of course. The windows in the room do not open. What saddens me, I sometimes wanted to air it out, but it didn't work out. There is air conditioning, but I didn't really like this location. I was sleeping by the window and it turns out that the wind was blowing on me. I slept under a blanket. But it's still uncomfortable when it blows on you all night. And if you turn it off, there is no air at all. The hotel also has a very small territory. Visitors by car park their cars almost opposite the entrance to the hotel. There are a couple of benches and a table with 4 chairs on site. It's more of a smoking area. And the dining room is opposite. Outdoors, under a canopy. It is possible to wash your hands. The bar is closed. But you can buy coffee, which will be brewed in front of you for 50 rubles.
Well, the city itself just got into the very heart. New Gagra seemed boring to us. There are few greenery and locations where you can go for a walk. This is a priority for us. New Athos is beautiful. Near the hotel there is a park in which there is an aviary with birds: geese, black swans, ostrich and peacocks. The peacock was very pleased, the male is beautiful. Loudly calls the females. The waterfall is also within walking distance
The prices in the stores surprised us - everything is expensive. We found a Magnit store near the park, where the prices are at least a little lower.

Cleaning ,change of towels every day,. The staff is very polite., helpful. The manager Marina is super.
I wrote to her in advance and asked for a room with a view of the Monostyr, she arranged everything, well done. The chefs are excellent women, they even made friends with one, it turned out that her son lives in our city. Prices for May with 3 meals a day are pleasant.
It is 800 meters from the hotel to the sea, but on a good road with cypresses.
In general, Mount Athos is a favorite vacation spot in Abkhazia.
I definitely recommend this

At first we lived in a standard room on the third floor, the view is certainly not ice (on the toilet), but we only spent the night in the room, so it was not important for us, but I did not catch Wi-Fi on the third floor at all, we constantly went down to the reception. Then we moved to a Deluxe room on the second floor, everything is fine with Wi-Fi there. This room has a French balcony, things were dried on a dryer outside. I consider it a disadvantage that there are no signs on the door (do not disturb! For example). You come from the sea, you want to sleep, and the cleaning begins. The food was homemade, ordinary, without a choice, no one was hungry. But the fact that dogs and cats are constantly walking around during meals was uncomfortable at first, not only for us, but also for other vacationers. I think if you closed the gates, there would not be such a large number of animals on the territory. There is a generator, which is a big plus for the hotel when the lights are turned off. The girls are all well done, kind, responsive. We were satisfied with the rest, I recommend the hotel, compared to other hotels in New Athos, Nikopol is the most decent. My family wants to visit this hotel and this city again next year. I really liked Mount Athos, the sights and the sea.

I was pleased with the design of the bathroom: blue tiles and a blue curtain, a very good shelf near the shower for all sorts of washing things. We have been staying at this hotel since 07/28/23. I have been coming here for the second time. I had a vacation here last year too. I really like the hotel, the staff, the location, and the sea. The hotel is clean, comfortable, and has everything you need to relax. The staff is wonderful. Very responsive, diligent, always help, prompt, remind. The rooms are cleaned every day, linen is changed every 4 days and towels every other day!!! The food is homemade. There were pastries and desserts (last year there were none) Nearby, everything is noted for the New Athos. The sea is 10-15 minutes away at a calm pace. Nearby there are cafes, restaurants, shops, pharmacy, all sorts of goodies))) I recommend this hotel for a family holiday.

We rested from 17.06 to 22.06 in the junior suite, the only plus of the junior suite is its size - it is spacious, the bathroom plumbing needs to be replaced, the mattresses on the bed are uncomfortable! The food is very modest, meager, from the cheapest products! The way to the hotel, when you turn off the Cypress Alley, lies along a dusty, unpaved road through a garbage dump and garbage truck cars, from which there is a sickening smell! We do not recommend it! There is no desire to return to this hotel anymore! The only plus was the view from the window of the most beautiful temple!

We had a rest with my husband from 23.09.23 to 29.09.23. We lived in a two-room junior suite with a beautiful view of the mountains (thanks to Marina). The room is clean and cozy, cleaning every day, towels are changed every other day (but if you need more often, I'm sure they won't refuse), there is everything you need, including a normal one! hair dryer (it's important to me). The food is normal, we were not hungry. If you book a standard room, be prepared that the view from the window / balcony may not be very good, but you can sit on a bench in the yard in the evening or drink wine at a table in the dining room (it is located on the street and is illuminated all night). There is no hair dryer in the standard room, you need to apply for it at the reception, there you can also borrow a corkscrew).
In general, everything is fine, thanks to all the service staff.

Of course, in general, a comment on Abkhazia (in particular Athos and Pitsunda) is the lack of toilets both in the beach area and in the cafe, the toilet is very rare here. The rest is not cheap, tourists leave enough money to develop in the direction of service.

The room is clean and cozy, has a TV , heater , air conditioning , refrigerator and kettle. The beds and pillows are comfortable. The towels and bed linen are not old, everything is perfectly clean. The staff is friendly and helpful, helped with everything if you had any questions. We were out of season , so there were no queues in the dining room . I liked everything very much.

Another girl, unfortunately, I did not remember the name, helped us a lot when we had to call a special taxi late in the evening to go to the Sukhumi hospital (my granddaughter hurt her arm). The location is within walking distance from the main attractions of New Athos. It is located right under the Anakopia Mountain with its ancient fortress. Climb the stairs, walk through the rock through the tunnel, pass over a beautiful bridge and exit onto the crowd leading to the Grotto of St. Simon the Cananite. Ten minutes on foot. Our room had a fantastic view of the New Athos Monastery. The hotel is clean and tidy. The bed linen was changed after five days. Sometimes there were problems with the water pressure in the shower taps. We had full board. They took it from their granddaughter so as not to hang around cafes and canteens. The food, of course, does not match everything else in the hotel. You won't stay hungry, but I would like more fruits and vegetables. Once there were boiled horns for lunch. It was something. Their appearance discouraged appetite completely. And the very gloomy faces of the chefs. It's just that the food and the chefs don't match everything else in the hotel in any way.

Greetings to all! I had a rest in Abkhazia from October 31 to November 14, 2023 for the first time, the purpose of my trip was to visit the New Athos Monastery, so I chose the city of New Athos. I chose the hotel based on reviews and was not mistaken. On the day of arrival, I was met by the senior receptionist Marina, a girl of extraordinary beauty, very friendly, explained to me the rules of hotel accommodation and said that she had prepared a very nice room for me. I really hoped that from the window there would be a view of the New Athos Monastery. Taking the key, I went up to the second floor, opened the door and...Oh, the miracle...view of the monastery from the window!!! Yes, even with a balcony equipped with a clothes dryer. The room is cozy, bright, has all the necessary furniture for living, TV, refrigerator, split system, Wi-Fi works perfectly. In case of cold weather, you can ask for an oil cooler. Bathrooms are equipped with water heaters, hot water supply does not make you wait long. Tap water flows spring, drinking. Cleaning and replacement of linen and towels is carried out both on schedule and on request, linen and towels are always snow-white. There is a small parking lot on the territory, since I was resting in the "low" season, there was no food. But this did not become a problem, there are many cafes and canteens around the hotel with an excellent menu. The hotel is located very conveniently, in the center and at the same time removed from the noise of the city. In the morning, you can hear birds singing, these were the best sunrises. The sights of New Athos are within walking distance: waterfalls, monastery, caves, Stalin's dacha, the cell of Apostle Simon Kananit. The sea is nearby.You can buy tours of Abkhazia both at the reception at the hotel and on the streets from representatives of Apsua Tour. The hotel is not bad, it is located almost at the waterfall, the territory is very small, there is almost no parking, for 3-4 cars, there is food, but food is a separate topic (it seems delicious, but where are the vegetables and fruits??)the room is spacious, has everything you need, the reception gives you everything you ask for.The rooms are cleaned almost every day.
