Yesterday, we arrived in Novopolotsk from Minsk for an overnight stay at the Belarus Hotel after a children's dance competition in Polotsk. Next to the hotel is this establishment with a boorish security guard. While we were making orders, we were asked to bring wine, salads, they were pleasing.....As soon as the order was completed, we stayed to listen to live music, we were asked to leave......allegedly, our appearance did not correspond to the dress code (you should have seen the "outfits" of the locals at the same timeBut we understood the reason......👌 You will be in the area😂, choose another place to relax after a hard day🙈

We went to a restaurant. I decided to order a dish of Belarusian cuisine. I took a machanka with sausages and pork and pancakes. The dish was brought: three pancakes (there are no questions about them), and the machanka consisted of mushrooms and onions with sour cream sauce. When the waiter asked where the sausages and pork were, the waiter said they were just sooooo finely chopped. So finely that they are not visible at all and there is absolutely no taste of them either. To which the waiter simply shrugged her shoulders.… It's become a disgusting place! If the visiting guests try SUCH dishes of Belarusian cuisine, it's just an ANTI-ADVERTISEMENT for the city and the entire Belarusian cuisine! SHAME ON THE INSTITUTION! It just became terrible! I DON'T RECOMMEND this place to anyone!

Once there was a reference restaurant in our region in everything from service to food. But in recent years it has been going downhill, and the further it goes, the faster. It all started with "we don't have a needle." Then it turned out that the cook could no longer cook two steaks in the same way - each time one came out decent, the second rubber. Then the number and size of shrimp in Caesar began to decrease. Then the garlic buns disappeared. Then nuggets began to be made not from whole meat, but from dubious minced meat. Last time I didn't see any familiar faces among the staff at all. Everything has changed. Zero experience. There is zero interest in the guest. Baking is not something that they do not make fresh, but they do not even consider it necessary to warm up the finished one. In general, there was a candy bar, and it became the same color, but not chocolate anymore. Of the two stars, one is just for good memories of the old days and in the hope that they will somehow miraculously return.

My verdict is this: if you are looking for a place to dance and have fun, you are clearly not at the right place.

Why should you put dishes that you don't have on the menu? Or if it's temporary, then you can just seal it up so that the guests are not disappointed once again.
