Oswald, who assassinated US President Kennedy, also lived in one of the houses on Victory Square. Fir trees near the entrance to Gorky Park used to grow near the monument to Stalin on Oktyabrskaya Square, opposite the House of Trade Unions.

Yes, it is a beautiful monument. And everything. You can't relax here among the traffic. Even on holidays, the square is almost never closed to pedestrians, but they block all parking lots around, probably so that you can't come and relax in the same Gorkov Park. Or maybe we just don't know how to organize these holidays?!
