I was happy to travel from new Athos to this spring. The bus goes there according to the schedule that is at the stop. The ticket price is 100 rubles. There are almost always a lot of people on the bus and if you did not get on at the first stop, then your road to the source (about 30 minutes) may be in a bent state. But if you have 3 fellow travelers, then for the same 100 rubles per person, you can take a taxi. The entrance to the source is 300 rubles + 50 rubles for a storage room (price 2024). There are 3 baths with mineral water and mud on site. I enjoyed visiting this place. I even smeared mud on my hair, they liked it) there is a hotel on site with a cost of 1,500 per day. The price includes a bath and mud treatment. After the procedures, it is pleasant to drink herbal tea, which you will be offered for 100 rubles in a cafe next to the changing rooms. I also saw a restaurant, but I didn't visit it, because when you go by bus, you have to do everything in an hour or the next bus back will be in 2 hours. I recommend.

A good hydrogen sulfide source, hot water is supplied to the pools by a waterfall through pipes. Three pools, 5*6, 3*4, 3*5. The depth is about 1m. Sometimes there are a lot of visitors, 10 people in the pool, changing rooms are not guarded, there is a luggage storage (on the shelf at the cash register). You can carry things with you in a bag.
The saturation of water with hydrogen sulfide is average, if you additionally smear dirt, you will smell for three days.
It is better to visit on warm, windless days, otherwise it is not very comfortable.
Parking is 100 rubles, cars can be left in the village and 200 meters on foot.

We were in July. We took a rental car to get there. We arrived early in the morning - out of the tourist flow. The place is beautiful, the springs and baths are entourage, everything is lined with stone. The water enters the pools by waterfall. And the scent of hydrogen sulfide (I'm writing and I can smell it, like now). After the baths, we switched to mud treatments. It was a complete buzz - we smeared ourselves, dried off and washed off the dirt with hot water from the spring and drank tea at a local cafe. By the way, if you relax in a local hotel, then using the procedures at the source is free, although it is far from the sea.
On the way back to the village, we bought a jar of tangerine juice (mmm yummy), local peaches (Turkish people are resting) and a jar of fig jam.
In short, I recommend it 👍🏻

A dubious experiment, okay 😅
Purely for the sake of variety, we went with my husband to these springs, in general it was fun to smear ourselves with mud.
The order is as follows:
1) shower
2) Hydrogen sulfide pool
3) smear with clay/mud
4) stand waiting for it to dry and the skin to absorb the gifts of nature😅
5) wash away all this joy in the soul
6) go drink herbal tea
The sensations after this are all pleasant, refreshing, which I really did not like: the weather was fresh, it was unpleasant to stand after a hot pool in the cold to smear clay and wait in the same cold for it to harden - I did not wait)))
Also, the territory of the complex itself is not modern, in some places good repairs are required, especially public toilets and changing rooms. It is very unpleasant
I found comments that they saw worms in this clay - I looked closely, I didn't seem to find it, everything is ok 😅

A great place for rest and treatment. It is located 34 kilometers from Sukhum, there is another similar one beyond New Athos. The ticket price, which is unlimited, is 300 rubles per person from sunrise to sunset. The springs are really natural, hydrogen sulfide, hydro massage, mud and hot pools located in a cascade. I really liked the visit, I advise you to visit. There are cafes, water, snacks on site.

My husband and I went from New Athos by taxi, they seem to say that there is a bus, but we did not meet it. It's a long walk from the road, especially in the heat. A small area, everything is clean, 4 stars - a little cramped, two departments, full of people, water is pouring down the pipe from above, if someone gets under the stream, then splashes in all directions, not very pleasant, since you are sitting right there. If you have heart problems, it's better not to go, I couldn't sit there for 5 minutes, it got bad. Whether it helps or not, I don't know. People go on courses, they say that there is a benefit. We went purely for informational purposes, it's not mine, the water is too hot and the smell.

not bad. Everything is the old-fashioned way, starting with the locker rooms. Among the advantages are stunning views along the way, really greyish water, a friendly granny in a cafe. Of the cons: a terrible locker room, cramped pools, no staff who would at least show where the dirt is, which can be smeared, terrible outdoor showers, everything is broken. It's a wonderful cafe, but there's only tea. It would be possible to offer people some kind of light snack, because everyone went there first, then sat in the bathroom with hydrogen sulfide, then smeared themselves with mud, washed themselves and were already pretty hungry. But these are all small things. Of course, we won't go a second time, but we can visit once.

Everything does not look very presentable compared to the Kyndyk source. I think 300 rubles for admission is a lot, but for those staying at the hotel at the source, the visit is free.. I have never met a single person who said that the source really helped. I usually visit a couple of times per arrival and a little more for free. Now there is not only a cafe at the source, but also a dining room. I really didn't visit her.. I'm going to stay in Primorsky for the third time, so I'll visit it for the 4th time...

A good place to sit in a pool with warm water and smear yourself with mud. You won't get a WOW effect from one visit, but you can relax. I highly recommend going early if you are in your car, because a lot of tourists are bussed there during the day and you will be queuing for a shower (3 of the 4 showers also worked with us). After all the procedures, I recommend drinking local tea.

I strongly do not recommend it, especially if you get into rush hour - there is a perplexity - where did you get to? The maximum capacity of this institution offhand is no more than 60-70 people, and up to 120-150 come at the peak, 70% of them are women, there will be a crush in the locker room and a feeling like in a concentration camp, and then a queue in front of the showers and dense stuffing into small small pools (out of three, in the last the water is already very cold). The territory of the pools with changing rooms is tiny. The toilets are dirty with a strong smell of ammonia. There are signs - "smear dirt with a thin layer!", "do not climb into the pool with mud - fine!". Yes, the dirt is great, there is no dispute. And now let's calculate - the visit time is about an hour and a half, the price for an adult ticket is 300, a hundred people have already paid 30 thousand for this service? And people keep coming... Their income is more than in a luxury hotel per unit area, but funds are not going to improve this "complex", such an experiment - they will come and pay anyway. Well, whoever does not break into the showers with warm water will wash them off with ice from the showers nearby. I was in a similar place in Marmaris (the entrance price is the same), but there are no such goon restrictions, separate tents for women, a really hot deep pool (radon).

I was with my family on 08/29/2024, well, as I was ... 15 minutes was enough and demanded a refund. I will say this - if the organization providing services is not able to provide a clean toilet, then EVERYTHING else that is offered on the territory is in doubt. The first thing you will encounter is dirty locker rooms, there is also a queue in the women's rooms, I waited for my wife and daughters for 15 minutes. Next, an ice shower, okay, I was able to get under it, but then how do I wash the children from the dirt? But it didn't come to that, because we didn't pass the test with the shitty toilet. We received an answer to our claim - you are resting yourself to blame, we have nothing to do with it and it is usually clean here, but today I have never looked there. Now the question is - how do they keep the hotel clean in the territory, in the cafe? But why bother - people are eating. Hygiene standards? Nope, we haven't heard of that!

The water is pleasant, but the pools are very small - you will get a full house - it will be sad :) Especially with six children like us :))) You can live there and use it for free, which is what many of the visitors do. You can go once, and if you like it, you can get a course of treatment. They did not dare to smear mud in winter - it was raining and it was cold.

They gave me tea for free, after the baths, as there was no change from 5 thousand rubles. Closer to 8-9-10, pensioners begin to catch up and it becomes crowded. The dirt is carried out separately in the basin. It is very difficult to wash off after it dries. I didn't see much cosmetic benefit, but the springs are really hot. The water in the baths is running.

The baths are small. There are a lot of people - 30 people, or even more. They bring tourists by bus. Sitting in the bathtub during the arrival of the tour bus is quite squeamish.
It is better to arrive by 9:00, before the people from the hotel breakfasts break down.
Dirt is really working - it's just "honey" for joints!)) but keep in mind - smear only where there are problems. Then it's not sweet to wash it under cold water!))
But I do not recommend sitting in baths with hydrogen sulfide for a long time: 20-25 minutes. I sat out a little bit and that's it, the toxicosis is specific. And not everyone gets it - arrhythmia, tachycardia will increase if there is.

I really liked it, but it's better to strictly follow the recommendations (take baths every other day and no more than 15 minutes). We took baths for two days in a row, on the second day we also tried a mud bath (the discomfort was felt for a very long time). But my psoriasis is still in a sluggish current state, and this is a very big plus.

For the purpose of familiarization, I visited the source, the signs to which led from the Sukhumi highway. 2 tiny pools located next to the walls of buildings. It seems that no more than 10 people can stand in the pool, and almost completely. I wonder what diseases can be cured in this way! The imported dirt is in a container, but I did not understand how it can be washed off after being applied to the body. Perhaps because it was the end of October, I didn't see people applying dirt. There is a hotel on the territory of the spring. Guests staying at the hotel receive discounts on the use of the pool and mud. I did not dive into the pool, in my opinion there are no hygienic conditions
