The temple itself is impressive as always. It's a pity that tourists and the tourist business make this place not holy, but just a landmark, a beautiful building. But the energy is very strong. If you listen, if you keep quiet, if you take the phone out of your hands and try to hear yourself and the voice of the Lord. There are two convenience stores with candles, icons and you can pay with a card - very convenient. The road up to the monastery sets you up for spiritual thoughts, but souvenir shops attract you. This is exactly the place in Abkhazia that you definitely need to visit! The place is very strong, energetic, but it is better to come by yourself, without an excursion, to stay exactly as long as you need, admission is free, there is a small market nearby, a paid toilet 100 meters below, after you can go to a mini hydroelectric power station, a station with tunnels, a cable car. 2-3 hours can be spent in this place, slowly, at your own pace, without fuss on excursions
