It's a great place. Solemn memory is juxtaposed with children's laughter. It fills me with hope. A well-maintained place. It is perfect for morning runs and just walks for moms and grandmothers with children. A piece of architecture in the form of a church complements the overall good impression. The only wish is that the city authorities take care of the park and repair the benches broken by energetic students.

It is windy in the park sometimes, in winter the main paths are cleaned well. I would like to put a coffee machine next to it. Walking dogs is a minus.

A cozy place in the middle of the noisy turmoil of the city. Abounds with benches and lighting. I would like dense low-growing plantings to protect from the wind, even though it would change the style of the place. Some benches require repairs in the form of adding missing crossbars, which is not critical, but also not aesthetically pleasing

Studentskiy Square is certainly one of the most beautiful places in Gomel. It is adjacent to the three oldest buildings of the University (F. Skarina State University), measures approximately 100 by 250 meters and is located between Sovetskaya and Kirov Streets. If you go from north to south along E-95 (former Union M20 St. Petersburg-Odessa), then the city center begins from this place, where, in addition to the square, there is a Church and the Tourist hotel.
Everything is in order in this park - vegetation, paths, benches, monuments. The main alley, which runs through the streets bordering the square, includes commemorative signs with the names of heroes of the Soviet Union who were related to the city. On the south side there is a memorial sign of the mass grave of underground heroes, so it is obvious that the Studentskiy Square is not intended for children's carousels. Among the trees, linden trees, maples, and acacias, which are traditional for this region, prevail.
