The scale of the reservoir is amazing. How many earthquakes have occurred in the centuries since the Cistern was built - and it costs… Entrance is paid, there are other cisterns in Istanbul where you can get in for free, in the Basilica Cistern during the day the cost of visiting is cheaper than the evening entrance.

A full hat. I don't recommend it to anyone. There are a lot of people. The price for the Russian Federation is 7,000 rubles. for two people in 30 minutes. The queue is like for milk in the 90s. Knee-deep water and a bunch of columns. It feels like you've been tricked after visiting.

We didn't expect anything and the place was unexpectedly impressive. There are huge fish swimming in the water. Majestic columns, darkness and coolness. I recommend it, especially on a hot day.

A grandiose structure. How could such a thing have been built a thousand years ago? You have to see it with your own eyes. No photos or videos will help you feel the grandeur of this building. The tickets are quite expensive, but it needs to be seen.

Perhaps the most unusual place in Istanbul - I have not seen this anywhere else! Ancient hundreds of columns! Water! The backlight! It will not leave anyone indifferent. Of course, there is a queue at the entrance. But with e-tickets or as part of numerous sightseeing tours, you can save a lot of time. I highly recommend you to visit.

I didn't see anything special there, they charge such money for visiting, for which it is not clear (1000 lira-2850 rubles) You can go to the Hermitage at least three times or go to Peterhof in style. Istanbul has become very expensive and also very dirty.

The place is beautiful and unusual. In fact, it is an ancient reservoir with modern installations. When it's sunny outside, you want to get to a cool place faster and not stand in a long queue for an hour. For tourists, they offer such a service: you pay 50 lira extra to the main ticket and go on a tour in just 5 minutes.
It's cool and humid inside, I didn't want to leave this interesting place. A lot of tourists, constant crowds, constant excursions. It's hard to find a place for a photo so that there are fewer people in the frame. But the main thing is to make pleasant impressions about one of the largest ancient reservoirs - it will work!
I want to say that everyone who was there treated each other respectfully and normally: if it was necessary to wait a little for a good shot, then everyone waited and did not resent it. I also expected a lot from others and it was a joy to see the admiring faces of people from different parts of our planet)

What is most important to know: it's cool there (it's a buzz), the entrance costs 600 lira, read the history of the tank in advance and calmly walk around it without a guide in 12 minutes

He works from morning to 18, then a break of an hour. For local residents, the cost is minimal, for tourists there are more than 1000 liras per person. I got into a break. By the way, there is a good alternative to this place😉

The underground museum is in the form of a giant vaulted structure for preservation from damage, and the aqua is preserved even better underground, water reserves are still conceived by Byzantine architects. Definitely to visit, it's like the pyramids in Egypt!

An energy place . Read the history of this place or watch a tour review on YouTube and go yourself. There will be guides at the entrance - who will lead without waiting in line and talk about history. The overpayment is not worth it. Although I used this service myself 🤣

One of the largest and well-preserved ancient underground reservoirs of Constantinople, which bears some resemblance to the palace complex. It is located in the historical center of Istanbul in the Sultanahmet district opposite the Hagia Sophia Cathedral. As of August 2022, it is open, after closing for restoration.

The size of the tank is impressive, as well as the size of the queue in it) it is better to arrive 30-60 minutes before opening, so as not to stand in line for tickets even longer afterwards. A ticket for foreign citizens costs 600 liras (about 2000 rubles). A must-visit place in Istanbul 👌🏻

This is just a grandiose underground structure that has stood for more than a thousand years and at the same time in a seismically dangerous zone! And how much work has been put into decorating something that should serve just a utilitarian purpose - collecting and preserving water?! And what kind of air is there! It is better to visit in the morning - fewer people. If you make it to the opening, then the viewing will be comfortable!

The place is fascinating because it was presented through the play of light, the opportunity to touch the creations of centuries ago and the opportunity to see the architecture and engineering work of distant ancestors. Very atmospheric. We were at the end of September. We came on the tour in the morning, around half past nine. We stood in line at the checkout for 15-20 minutes. They say that if you buy a ticket online on the website, you can not stand at the checkout at all. But it is impossible to do this with a card of Russian banks. Therefore, they paid in cash in lira.
We stayed inside for 40 minutes. If you don't take pictures, then 20 minutes will be enough. At the end, when there were quite a lot of people crammed inside, it became stuffy.

Are you people seriously "it's worth it"?????
Half an hour in the heat in the queue
They gave 800 lire for a ticket!!
I went down for 5 minutes
There is absolutely nothing to see there
Some kind of columns
This is utter nonsense
Who writes these reviews?
It's not worth 80 lire!

A very beautiful place! It's very damp inside, even dripping from the ceiling) when the red backlight lights up, it is especially atmospheric! I do not remember the ticket price, but for sure payment in cash only in Turkish money or by card, dollars and euros are not accepted. But if there is an official exchanger nearby.
