The museum is interesting, but challenging. Going there, you need to already have a fairly decent knowledge of the history of the region. A random person entering there just like that will most likely be disappointed.

The main and perhaps the most interesting attraction of Etchmiadzin is the temple and monastery complex of Catalysis. There is something to see. I recommend visiting the Museum of Catalysis.

Now the monastery itself and the treasury are under repair. But one hall of the total wealth is open to visitors (okay, let it be a little, but at least something). You can only get there with an excursion (a ticket is bought at a souvenir shop). The tour is disgusting!!! (the girl immediately began to babble the text, did not note the organizational questions, spoke quietly, expressionlessly, uninteresting). By God, it would be better if I looked at everything myself without this walking wikipedia! It's a shame! In the main Armenian shrine and such disgusting service!
