The Central House of Officers is a very remarkable building near Alexandrovsky Square. Firstly, it is one of the few such impressive buildings built in the USSR in the pre-war period. Secondly, its architect was Joseph Langbard, who significantly influenced not only the appearance of Minsk, but also the world architecture of the first half of the 20th century as a whole. It's hard to believe now, but the building includes elements of several older buildings that were on this site. Thus, the bishop's house is included in the center of the facade, and the left wing partially consists of the Church of the Intercession.
