I am delighted with the visit. You can walk everywhere and appreciate the scale and beauty of the past. It is very hot to go by minibus from Kutaisi, although very fast, but it was not possible to order a taxi back via Yandex. There is a beautiful park nearby, there is a restaurant, many other abandoned buildings in the area and even a modern spa center.

Very atmospheric, beautiful architecture! All the grandeur of the buildings is felt.
Of the minuses:
— you need to be careful, "local" refugees can breed for money (we have seen them in neighboring sanatoriums, but it is better to warn)
— you need to walk very carefully inside, after all, no one is watching the collapse of buildings, there are holes in everything
- garbage (well, here ... I'm not at all I understand how you can walk in such a place and throw something away, but you will most likely see that you can ... if nothing changes)

Such territories are disappearing. It is a pity that such monumental buildings have been dying for so many years, there is no other way to say it. Tskaltubo has such good air, people, and nature.

I love abandonments, and abandonments of this scale are just a godsend, I was not too lazy and found pictures of how this sanatorium looked in its best years, but it seems to me now it looks much cooler and more atmospheric

Medea is the most popular abandoned with gorgeous colonnades at the entrance. There is a swimming pool in the far building - locals still use it in the summer.

The place is on fire!!!! One of the most photogenic abandonments of Tskaltubo. Keep in mind that refugees from Abkhazia live in the far wings, so do not be surprised and be polite.

This place is worth a visit, it is very informative, until they start taking money for it, you can walk for half a day, a flashlight will be useful and treats for dogs.
