Sacred places. Everyone is very tolerant. Of course, restoration and restoration work is required. There are a lot of people . Everything is very clean, it's a pity that it is being destroyed.

The temple itself was not impressed. I would like to say how great it is that they have preserved it, but still, it all looks more abandoned than antique. A church shop with wildly frightening prices, you know, it just pushes you off the doorstep.
But the views here are really incredibly beautiful, a waterfall and an abandoned klass station! There are a lot of people, but in general, if you want to enjoy the views, the beauty of nature, it is possible))

The Church of the Holy Fathers of Mount Athos was built after the Russian-Turkish war, in 1895. It is located in the southwestern part of the complex on the territory of the New Athos Simon-Kananite Monastery.
The complex includes six temples:
1 Gate temple.
2 The Church of St. Andrew the First-Called.
3 The temple in honor of the Holy Fathers of Mount Athos.
4 The Temple of the Martyr Hieron.
5 The Church of the Icon of the Mother of God "The Deliverer".
6 Cathedral of St. Panteleimon the Healer.
The Russian Orthodox Church DOES NOT BLESS Orthodox pilgrims to buy candles, souvenirs, make donations and participate in the sacraments on the territory of the monastery.
The New Athos monastery ended up in the hands of individuals who dissolved their unity with the Orthodox Church.
Back in 2011, hieromonks Yerofey and Andrey were BANNED from the sacred ministry FOR their SCHISMATIC activities.
The idea of establishing a monastic brotherhood in Transcaucasia belongs to the monks of the Russian Panteleimon Monastery on Old Athos in Greece.
They implemented their idea with the help of Grand Duke Mikhail Nikolaevich Romanov, governor of the Caucasus.
It was he who ordered the allocation of land in the Sukhumi district for the estate and grounds of the New Athos Monastery.
Later, the royal family assisted in the construction of the monastery, allocating land and attaching temples to the New Athos Simon-Cananite Monastery.
Emperor Alexander III personally participated in laying the foundation stone for the construction of St. Panteleimon Cathedral and commissioned its construction by the Russian architect Nikonov.
For the needs of the monastic brotherhood, a steam locomotive for the monastery railway and a diesel engine for the power plant were donated, as well as musical chimes for the bell tower in the center of the western building.
Currently, there is no monastic brotherhood in the monastery, services are held once a week...
Tourists, who come by the thousands on an excursion, in a hurry, while exploring the territory, continue to donate generously for the restoration of the monastery for many years in a row.
Repairs are not carried out, because they sacrifice more.
The New Athos Simon-Cananite Monastery was once the center of Orthodoxy in the Caucasus.
Currently, no more than 30 parishioners, including curious tourists vacationing in New Athos, are present at the service, which is held only on Sundays, in the church, which can accommodate up to 3 thousand people.

Here our daughter was baptized by the abbot of the monastery himself, personally I have not seen such rituals in our temples, now for the fourth year we come to the temple for communion on our daughter's birthday

Very beautiful. It is a pity that they left the Patriarchate of Moscow. There are no funds, everything will fall apart
