We were with a family of 10 people. The atmosphere is cozy, reminiscent of a tavern, the staff is wonderful, smiling, kind and very nimble. The menu was chosen traditional Belarusian: borscht (you'll lick your fingers, but you'll fight for savory lard), shingles with brisket and mushrooms (so that I could cook so delicious), wizards with chops (I didn't even know that such things happen), a rustic frying pan (pork and magic potatoes are tender), dessert ("ahhh we will cook this quickly" These words of the waiter struck me for some reason). Each dish is cooked with love. The feed is fast. The bear on the wall :))) looks strong.

The preface. We were standing at the Cornflower cafe, in line, they said to wait 20-30 minutes to let us into the cafe and wait 40 minutes for cooking. (But they recommended it to us, so we stood there...we were waiting) Well, it's such a pleasure.... We found a cafe at the Yankee's by location, and the three of us went exploring. We looked at the menu, and in anticipation of the order, my husband went to get the rest. And we did not lose, but on the contrary, we won. After 15 minutes, we started eating. Everyone had a delicious dinner and went for a walk well-fed and satisfied.
I recommend it! 5 stars, conquered in the very heart!!!

We decided to try Belarusian cuisine in this cafe.My husband ordered a hodgepodge, and I ordered a Prajanina. Complete disappointment.There was very little meat in the hodgepodge, and the Prajanina didn't go in at all - a mixture of dry meat and potatoes, rather spicy, and also sour.It is not clear why they serve a completely dry dish in a pot, They suggested pouring sour cream on top of it... There is no desire to visit this place again.

We came and it turned out that the institution was open from 14.00, perhaps there is a logical explanation for this, but we did not like walking for 15 minutes in the cold. We ordered borscht and brought a pale soup with a strange sour-salty taste. The borscht seemed dubious to the adult women at the next table, too.
The borscht was served with WHITE bread and semi-frozen watery lard.
And we ordered pancakes with chanterelles in a pot - the CRUNCH of DIRT on our teeth has been with us ever since! I understand that chanterelle is a fox fluke and porous. But if they are washed normally piece by piece, and not just rinsed in a basin, then there will be no earth left in them!!!

First. That no one writes in the reviews.. This is not a cafe.. No one will come in here for coffee..
This is a restaurant-bar/pub.
It is located in the basement, I liked the rough wooden interior, I don't like each other - so everyone has their own place here.
Why the Yankees call it, and everywhere the crane is depicted on the menu, is a mystery.
I didn't like that there was no soap in the toilets. Maybe this is the norm for this institution.
According to the food, the draniki were overcooked / more precisely, all three were burnt. Machanka is delicious. The plate of croutons turned out to be the largest plate of croutons in my life. Beer is ok.
Total: for comparison with Cornflowers, which are 30 meters away.
The price is about the same.
In Cornflowers, the food tastes better / looks better, but there are many times more people and noisier.
It's good for Yankees to gather with friends for vodka or beer.

There is an interesting interior inside, it is quite cozy. The only small disadvantage, but it does not affect the assessment: in summer, when it is hot and stuffy, you want to sit outside. And there is an outdoor terrace with tables. Some of the tables under the umbrellas were occupied. There were also empty tables, but for some reason the umbrellas above them were closed. And we were told that they would not open them. Because of this, it was not possible to sit outside. Still, it is not very comfortable to be under the hot sun, especially if precipitation falls. It is not very clear what prevented the umbrellas from being opened on another part of the terrace. But this is a small thing.

We visited this institution.
We ordered pancakes with brisket, the dish was cooked a long time ago, just warmed up before serving (they were almost cold) . Because of this, the pancakes tasted disgusting.
You need to be able to ruin a national dish like that.
A rustic frying pan was also ordered, the potatoes were cold inside the dish, and the chicken egg on top was dried like chips.
We do not recommend visiting.
