A magnificent museum! The unique, in itself extremely interesting architecture of the building itself, with natural daylight. In the center of the exhibition is an archaeological excavation of a beautifully preserved craft quarter of a 13th-century settlement. There is an interesting exposition of discovered handicrafts and household items around the excavation site. The museum is located directly behind the rampart of the Brest Fortress. In my opinion, it is obligatory to visit. The heavy depressing impression after the tragic and gloomy background of the fortress immediately disappears after visiting this ancient monument to the joy of a measured peaceful life and creative work

The museum is very atmospheric and homely. It was very interesting to me both from a historical and an ethnographic point of view. Much attention is paid to the identity of the Belarusian settlements and their way of life. I was pleased with the Birch Bark cat! He's so funny and kind! I even trusted him with an owl wish in his ear! And of course the excavation! It conquers with its orderliness and originality... I think it will be interesting for everyone, both adults and children.

This is a museum with archaeological finds and, in general, a unique object, especially for the Eastern Slavs (to whom I refer the main nations of the inhabitants of the Republic of Belarus, Ukraine, and the Russian Federation). If you are a fan of history, archeology, and related sciences, you definitely should go here. At first glance, the museum's exposition may seem quite insignificant, but if you remember that many of the artifacts date back to the 13th century and are wooden products (buildings, objects, etc.), then you realize how unique (due to the swampy terrain)the material collected here allows for a deeper understanding of our Slavic history, way of life, occupations, and other aspects of life, which is characteristic to a greater or lesser extent of almost all proto-urban and simple settlements that did not realize themselves into something more, located once within the territory of the medieval ancient Russian state, which included to one degree or another the above-mentioned individual States. Others who are not interested will probably not be particularly interested in this museum exhibit, and the composition will seem very modest. But to understand this, as always, you need to visit there yourself and form your own opinion. I really enjoyed visiting the museum, and I wish you the same. And I will add that all of the above is my personal opinion.
