A magnificent museum! The unique, in itself extremely interesting architecture of the building itself, with natural daylight. In the center of the exhibition is an archaeological excavation of a beautifully preserved craft quarter of a 13th-century settlement. There is an interesting exposition of discovered handicrafts and household items around the excavation site. The museum is located directly behind the rampart of the Brest Fortress. In my opinion, it is obligatory to visit. The heavy depressing impression after the tragic and gloomy background of the fortress immediately disappears after visiting this ancient monument to the joy of a measured peaceful life and creative work

The museum is very atmospheric and homely. It was very interesting to me both from a historical and an ethnographic point of view. Much attention is paid to the identity of the Belarusian settlements and their way of life. I was pleased with the Birch Bark cat! He's so funny and kind! I even trusted him with an owl wish in his ear! And of course the excavation! It conquers with its orderliness and originality... I think it will be interesting for everyone, both adults and children.

This is a museum with archaeological finds and, in general, a unique object, especially for the Eastern Slavs (to whom I refer the main nations of the inhabitants of the Republic of Belarus, Ukraine, and the Russian Federation). If you are a fan of history, archeology, and related sciences, you definitely should go here. At first glance, the museum's exposition may seem quite insignificant, but if you remember that many of the artifacts date back to the 13th century and are wooden products (buildings, objects, etc.), then you realize how unique (due to the swampy terrain)the material collected here allows for a deeper understanding of our Slavic history, way of life, occupations, and other aspects of life, which is characteristic to a greater or lesser extent of almost all proto-urban and simple settlements that did not realize themselves into something more, located once within the territory of the medieval ancient Russian state, which included to one degree or another the above-mentioned individual States. Others who are not interested will probably not be particularly interested in this museum exhibit, and the composition will seem very modest. But to understand this, as always, you need to visit there yourself and form your own opinion. I really enjoyed visiting the museum, and I wish you the same. And I will add that all of the above is my personal opinion.

A wonderful place to learn about the history of your native land! It's beautiful, atmospheric, informative and very exciting. There are many exhibits, and information is available in three languages. There is an area for watching a film about the excavations, and there is an interactive part. You can buy souvenirs to remember this amazing place. I recommend you to visit!

This museum is definitely worth a visit for those who want to touch the history of our country. The museum is located on the territory of the Brest Hero Fortress, which is very convenient. An incredible combination of modernity and antiquity. The exposition of ancient artifacts is well represented. But, unfortunately, there are a lot of new developments. The very atmosphere of the museum is fascinating and amazing. For those who are visiting for the first time, I recommend that you take a guided tour. There is also a developed modern application for those who want to walk on their own.

It's a very cool place and atmospheric. In the center of the building is an excavated part of wooden houses from the 13th century. And in the circle there are exhibits and antique items. You can download the app and listen to audio about most of them. The entrance is not expensive.

A must-visit if you are in the territory of the Brest Fortress . There are different prices for different categories of citizens . A free pass is possible for some. Time is unlimited. There are padded benches throughout the hall. The center of the hall is occupied by an exposition of the remains of ancient human settlements. There are different expositions around the perimeter of the hall. I recommend whispering your wish in the cat 's ear. There is an animation room. Calm and quiet . I recommend

Personally, I didn't really like it, I wasn't impressed. It looks purely like a tourist attraction - a tent over a glazed archaeological site. The location is quite convenient, you can drive up by car, you can also take children, if, of course, it will be interesting)

It's a very small museum. It's really possible to complete it in 10 minutes at a very leisurely pace. The main exhibit in the center of the hall is a reconstructed part of the village of Berestye. Take a look at the museum and you will be surprised at how people lived 1000 years ago. Or rather, how many square meters people managed to live on. Another interesting thing: at one of the stands, a prototype of a bracelet was found, from the design of which the Cartier Love style was "stolen". Anyway, you'll be in those parts, take a walk through the museum. It won't take long, but you'll discover a couple of interesting things.

Archaeological Museum "Berestye". This is a unique place that makes you look into the past. The museum's exposition is incredibly diverse and full of archaeological finds. I was with my son and it was very interesting for us to see how people used to live and what they did.

It's a great museum. It is a unique place for Belarus, so if you find yourself in Brest, do not spare an hour to come here. The building of the museum itself is very beautiful. For the summer of 2025, the entrance ticket for adults is 7.90 rubles. And there is a free audio guide - everything is clear from it. Recommended!

This museum was on my list of must-see places in Brest. And for good reason! I was delighted! Firstly, the museum building itself looks very unusual and modern, and secondly, the excavation makes an impression - it takes your breath away that after so many centuries the buildings are so well preserved, you can imagine how our distant ancestors lived. Thirdly, the exposition is very logically constructed, it is small, but coupled with an audio guide (which, by the way, is provided with free access via free Wi-Fi, which is important for tourists from Russia) gives a complete picture of the life and culture of the ancient inhabitants of these places. In terms of time, an inspection with an audio guide takes about an hour. All this cost only 7 Belarusian rubles, which is quite inexpensive compared to many other museums in Belarus. The bonus was also that we were practically alone in the museum🙂 so I highly recommend you to visit - it will be interesting for both adults and children👍

Berestye Archaeological Museum: A journey through time in the heart of Brest 🏛️ Address: Brest, Fortress passage, 15 The overall impression: The Berestye Archaeological Museum made an amazing impression due to the excellent condition of the restored building. The museum offers a fascinating journey into the past and is a must-visit destination in Brest. Exposition: The exhibition is small, but very interesting. In the center of the hall there is a restored settlement, which was on the site of the founding of the city. The presented archaeological finds and stories about the origin of the name of the city and its development from the first settlements until recently are of great interest. Advantages: 🏛️ Unique exposition: Interesting archaeological finds and stories about the development of the city. Excellent condition: Renovated building and high-quality exposition. 📚 Information content: Detailed stories about the history of the city and its development. Accessibility: The museum is fully accessible to people with limited mobility. Cons: 🌡️ Temperature conditions: In extreme heat, the building, made in the form of a dome-tent, can be stuffy and hot, which reduces the comfort of visiting. Recommendations: I recommend visiting the Berestye Archaeological Museum when traveling to Brest. This is a wonderful place to explore the history of the city. The exposition is interesting and available for self-study. However, in hot weather, be prepared for possible discomfort due to the high temperature inside the building. Final score: ⭐⭐⭐⭐ out of 5

Cool educational museum, worth a visit. A good audio guide is quite a substitute for a guided tour. Based on excavations. About culture and human activity, history from the turn of the first millennium to Modern times.

A very interesting museum with remarkably preserved wooden buildings of ancient Berestye (Brest). In addition to the buildings, the museum has themed halls dedicated to the history, life and culture of the ancient city. Each room has a description of the exhibits in Belarusian, Russian and English, and you can also download a convenient audio guide to your phone.

I really liked it, I enjoyed reading and examining every detail, and I was shocked at how civilization moved forward. A metal fishhook is not made of animal bones))). And the ruins in the middle of the museum are just something. By the way, there is an application where you can take a guided tour yourself, there is a stand in the museum with information do not miss it.

The Berestye Museum is located on the territory of the Brest Fortress. More precisely, behind the citadel. You have to leave it through the Holm Gate and cross the river over the bridge. There will be a museum just behind it, a little to the right. I recommend taking a guided tour, so it will be more interesting to learn about what was here in the old days.…

An interesting place. If you come to the Brest fortress, be sure to visit this museum. The way of life of our ancestors shows well. It was interesting to see how it was built in those old days. Be sure to read the information about the exhibits yourself and then explain to the children what you have read.

I am pleased with the visit. Everyone wears clothes inside, and a certain temperature is maintained to preserve archaeological finds. There were no excursions, I went by myself, watched, read. There is a poster at the entrance with a link to the audio guide, but the Internet did not pull. I have already listened to the audio guide at the hotel, it is only in the Belarusian language. I recommend you to visit

I didn't really like it. If the room is heated, it is very bad-it was in November, the humidity was added to the cold. The museum was built on the site of Berestye when Belarus was just formed.
