Back to the USSR
We arrived at this hotel on April 30, it was still quite cold, and the batteries were already turned off (to be fair, they were turned off in Minsk, and, it seems, in the whole of Belarus).
I asked for a heater, a disgruntled girl at the reception said that they were not there, they were given away. The blankets are thin, I had to cover myself with a down jacket on top. I'm frozen.
At first, none of our group's WiFi worked, it was fixed about forty minutes later.
The interior is a classic Soviet hotel, in places with Soviet renovation, in places with renovation of the 90s.
I stayed as part of an ex.tour, I do not recommend it for independent travelers.

We were at the hotel from January 4 to January 6, 2020. The hotel is far from the avenue, it is not convenient to get there. Inside it is old, with old repairs, the staff is also not very friendly, they get confused, the breakfasts are so-so, not tasty: porridge, some strange pancakes, did not like it, in a word. The cost of breakfast at the reception is the same, in fact, the restaurant charges more. There is no hair dryer or dishes in the rooms, in a single room there is only one glass of dishes, no kettle. The cooler in the corridor with drinking water was empty on the second day. The room is gloomy and dark. Although the bed is comfortable, the mattress is hard enough, and the bed linen is fresh. I will not go to this hotel a second time, although I am going to Vitebsk.
