2 weeks ago, we purchased 2 barbershop chairs from this company and I would like to share my feedback and impressions of the purchase.
The Dublin chairs were purchased. Other options were also considered for purchase, including the more budget-friendly Toledo. But the choice fell on "Dublin", because our team consists mainly of tall craftsmen and we wanted the new chairs to be taller than our old ones, so that it would be more comfortable to work (the craftsmen will understand). The other parameters of the seats were also taken into account, but the height was still the main factor for us.
Having studied the specified information about the chairs on the website, on Instagram and clarified it (several times) We ordered a Dublin from the company's managers, anticipating that soon we will have chairs that are more beautiful and comfortable than ours.
Having taken the chairs from the factory (special thanks to the guys who work there: they packed the chairs, and helped them disassemble and load them into the car. Great guys), brought them to the barbershop, assembled, installed and started working.
In terms of the appearance and quality of the chairs, there are no complaints, perhaps 5/5.
But, one significant nuance has surfaced! While working on the chair, I find myself thinking that it is not as high as it should be. I think it's okay, we'll keep working. I've tonsured a couple more people, and I catch myself thinking about it again and realize that something is wrong.
During the break, I take the tape measure and decide to measure the height of the new chair for the sake of interest. What a surprise it was when, having applied a tape measure, I saw almost the same numbers as our old chairs! Namely, the height in the lower position is about 54 cm, in the upper position - about 67-68 cm. I was just shocked!
At the same time, the site indicated parameters of 60 and 74 cm, respectively (which is even too high), there was a post on Instagram where it was said about the refinement of this Dublin model and the parameters 58 and 72 were stated, and they were confirmed to us by the manager who contacted the production and clarified.
But in fact we have 54 and 68 cm, which is equal to the parameters of our old chairs. Or the parameters of the more budget-friendly Toledo model, which, in general, we also liked, but was rejected precisely because of the insufficient height (according to this model, it turns out that the parameters on the site were indicated correctly).
Who would have thought that buying equipment from such a serious company that has been operating on the market for a long time could create such a situation?? It turns out, unfortunately, it can!
The most interesting thing. When the chairs were taken away from production, I asked the guys if there were any assembled Toledo models, they say I would like to see them live, compare them with Dublin in height. The guys replied that they were not ready, but the base of the chairs was the same and they should not differ much in height. I thought back then, so maybe "Toledo" is actually higher than indicated on the website, and will be as tall as "Dublin". But it turned out, on the contrary, that it was "Dublin" in height, as stated on the Toledo website. That's the way it is.
The chairs are bought, beautiful in appearance, pleasing to the eye. But, alas, they do not give exactly what they were bought for! We do not plan to change the chairs, we will work, but the situation turned out to be unpleasant and the sediment remained.
I would like to emphasize once again that there are no questions about the quality of the chairs. The guys from the production are a special respect! But there is a question about the work of managers. How can you give information like that? Fortunately, after our call, the data on the website was corrected. I don't know, maybe we're not the only ones in this situation.
I would like this review to serve as a lesson to others. Despite all the merits, regalia, and reputation of the company (this one and in general), always personally double-check what you purchase, even if it seems that everything is 100% reliable here.
I will add a couple of lines on the state of affairs at the time of March 2025.
It is worth noting that the company responded to this review and tried not to abandon us in the current situation. Thanks, first of all, to the active participation of Irina's manager, we were able (although also not without minor moments) to resolve this situation for the better. Without going into details, I can say that now the chairs are operated approximately in the mode in which they were supposed to be before their purchase.
We really hope that this situation has served as a lesson for everyone and will not happen again in the future!
