A place that cannot be visited without emotions!!! The story of the Great War, the Great Victory of our people!!! A must-visit with the younger generation!!! I think it will be very interesting to be in the fortress on May 9th!!! There are many letters and photographs in the museum, and many interesting moments from the life of the defenders of the fortress! It is better to go to Brest with an overnight stay in order to have time to get around everything, there are no problems renting a place....

This place leaves an indelible impression. In fact, the heroes of the fortress, with their more than 30 days of heroic deeds, helped our country gain time and prepare its defenses. The citadel and the vast defensive territory beyond it are a picturesque feat for every fighter. The garrison that took the battle in 41 was geographically from Kamchatka to Brest, there were fighters from the Union republics and no one flinched. In fact, several buildings and the Hill Gate have been preserved, but mostly the foundations remain.

I recommend you to visit. There is a nuance to get acquainted with all the museums and memorials, in terms of time - you need to plan the whole day. Thanks to the people who have preserved all the "exhibits" to our time, thanks to the guides, thanks to the girls selling tickets. Everyone calmly answers questions from even people who are not completely calm).
This is a place of our memory, history, our sorrow and our pride for the Soviet people who gave the first battle to the fascist inhumans.
