My son's neighbor recommended this place to us, we listened to the advice and did not regret it. A very intimate place, quiet, homely, Louise was very friendly, everything she advised was really delicious. We took chicken, Tolma, Spas soup and Zangezur salad. The portions are large, we really ate too much. The pomegranate wine was so good that we took more with us. They left full and satisfied.

A good restaurant serving local cuisine with affordable prices. You can take food to take away. The interior is simple, reminiscent of the Soviet period. The portions are large and delicious. I highly recommend dolma, arisa and tobacco chicken. But we need to work on the service: make a normal menu, not just a printed piece of paper, and so that the waiters are more polite and do not beg for tips.

We unexpectedly came across this restaurant for lunch while walking along the upper northern part of Yerevan in the Kanaker Zeitun-Arabkir district.
The service is sooooo hospitable and attentive, just like a family.Louise charmed us. Fast, tasty and cheap. LARGE PORTIONS , 1 portion was divided into two.
We took:
Sorrel soup is very satisfying and enveloping. Lean and low-fat broth, which was important to me personally.

The salad of fresh vegetables is the most delicious ever, which we tried in local restaurants. Juicy, fresh and crispy vegetables, tomato with strawberry flavor. Fragrant oil mmmmmm, delicious
Veal kebab is the softest tenderloin with interesting notes of spices, a discovery for my receptors. The red semi-dry homemade wine Vernashen came up wonderfully with it. Take homemade sauce with coriander and garlic.
Cash payment, the ability to split an account if you have a group.
Below in the photo, the bill for two is 1627 rubles. Well, it's a magical place.

Great place, very tasty.
We arrived in Armenia for 3 days, Zangezur was enough to try everything.
Hash -there are no words, Harisa-you can lick your fingers, dolma-how mom cooked.

"Zangezur" is the name of a region in eastern Armenia, and it is also a restaurant on Azatutyan.
Old (since 1969) and old-fashioned, two halls, the second one has loud live music, so I didn't go further than the first one.
Dolma is traditionally good in leaves, minced meat is very finely ground, there is not enough texture.
There was no lamb roast, and the veal version was, as always, a solid liver, but if I understood the waitress correctly, then the lamb version without assorted giblets, but a monoproduct one. Sorry.
I saved you - the first few times when you eat this soup, it seems to be the same everywhere, and then you feel the nuances. Here it seemed lighter and not as full of grains as in other places. The dietary version.
Lamb ikibir is, however, record-breaking large (ikibir = SMALL kebab with pieces of bacon), so if I had eaten ikibir here for the first time in Armenia, I would not have realized that this is a smaller size than, in fact, a kebab.
The veal kebab is juicy, fat, and good. They offered bread, but I limited myself to pita bread from under ikibir (sorry, I'm not an expert on local restaurant etiquette, perhaps it's just not worth eating like "pens" from khinkali?)
Rather, it is a place for traditional restaurant gatherings with music, wine and barbecue, not for those who are quick to deal with food like me. The atmosphere here is > food.

We were a big company on 10.11. I liked the very sincere attitude of the staff towards us! It was DELICIOUS! I liked everything except the icky beer - it was dry, and it felt like just meat.
The price tag is adequate, exactly lower than anywhere in Kentron! )
