One of the "whales" of the Soviet-era household goods trade. Maybe it wasn't the coolest store, but it dominated the avenue line. I haven't been here since the mid-90s. In search of a 200 ml double-walled mug, I decided to take a look. As far as I'm concerned, nothing much has changed after 30 years: where stockings and socks were once sold, they're still there today. The chandeliers where they were evicted are still represented there. The same picture applies to bags, dishes, etc. Whether this is good or bad is not for me to judge. I didn't find the mug I needed, but I bought a light bulb holder in electrical goods, rather as a souvenir of the visit.

It's a good store: I've been going here for as long as I can remember. Once I managed to buy a shop with a big discount (250 rubles). A good assortment, close to home. If you need something urgently, like plumbing or electrics, it's an ideal option. They say it's not very cheap, but if you add up with the costs of a trip to the same Mainland, TSUM or Wmd, about that's how it turns out.
