Unsurprisingly, Baku spent a lot of money on the construction of this beautiful building from the outside, but did not care a bit about the interior filling.
Outside: a beautiful beautiful piece of architectural art.
Inside:
1) more than half of the halls are empty and closed;
2) the expositions are generally uninteresting: there are interesting musical instruments, an ironic exhibition of the Azerbaijani space program, but otherwise it is uninteresting, without ideas, and sometimes mediocre;
3) the lack of at least some logistics, there are no signs so as not to miss the exhibition hall, the passage to which is only in a small unlit nook, there are no signs to the toilets, the toilets themselves are small and squalid, there is no separate room for caring for babies;
4) no benches! It's just trash, the only benches belong to the only cafe there, everything else is not the most convenient slopes of the walls themselves inside the building, on which of course you can sit when there is no other way out, but this is clearly abnormal, plus they are not everywhere, but where you're lucky. If you have problems with your legs, then you will quickly feel all the lack of care for you.
In general, everything is lubochno and strange, it is not enough to build a magnificent building from the outside, you also need to fill it from the inside.

I recommend it!! Interesting, informative. I really liked the exhibition with dolls, musical instruments and an exhibition of retro cars! From the minus, only one! Honestly, it is not clear why there is no audio track in Russian at the stands, while the guide claimed that 70% of tourists are from the Russian Federation! It was very interesting to learn the story, but alas..

The Heydar Aliyev Center is beautiful, spacious, and solid. I was impressed by the auto-cool exhibition. Russian Russian, but the exhibition dedicated to G. Aliyev was somewhat disappointing because there is no information in Russian, only in Azerbaijani, which is logical, and in English, and this is the history of the USSR, it is understandable and interesting to the Russian people. But foreigners almost never go there, they are not interested in it. It turns out that they chased modernity, but missed practicality. There are beautiful views around, a lot of open space.

To say that the building of the Heydar Aliyev Cultural Center makes a colossal impression is to say nothing. It turns the mind!
It is possible, even necessary, to come to Baku to visit it. Although, of course, there are many beautiful, interesting, impressive things in this beautiful city, but this building is incredible.
One of the masterpieces of architect Zaha Hadid. I saw two more of her creations: the main building of the Vienna University of Economics and the opera house in Guangzhou. But if by rating (my personal, of course), then the Cultural Center is number one!
What can I see there? First of all, to see how white color, light and the absence of angles transform space - the brain is always looking for the usual vertical / horizontal, and there everything flows, everything transforms depending on the angle, the point of view.
However, these are fairly subjective emotions, and perhaps it was the scale and prospects that affected me so much.
From the objective: an interactive exposition of the life and work of Heydar Aliyev, an exhibition of miniature copies of the most recognizable buildings in Baku, an exhibition of national clothes and musical instruments, an exhibition of retro cars, an exhibition of carpets, an exhibition of art objects.
Additional exhibitions are also organized there, for example, in May there was an exhibition of Salvador Dali.
there is a stylish cafe on the ground floor.
A very beautiful area around the building with cascades of flower beds and fountains.

It's a very interesting idea, there are interactive halls - we especially liked musical instruments)). The building itself is unusual and beautiful. But the center needs to be improved. At a minimum, you need audio guides in different languages with more detailed help. The historical part is voiced only in English and Azerbaijani, while the president speaks Russian in places. Overall, I really liked it, I highly recommend it to visit.

The most amazing architecture, both outside and inside, is not a building, but a real relaxation for the brain. Wonderful expositions, there is something to see. If there is a question, to go or not to go, definitely -go! To see everything (and listen!) it will take time, so it's better to go from the very opening, from 11-19 working days, from 11-18 weekends. You won't regret it!

Beautiful building and surrounding area. Worth a visit for the beautiful photos. You should not expect anything outstanding from the center itself. There are several exhibitions inside, I can't say what conveys the national flavor, the biggest one about G.Aliyev. If there is extra time and there is nowhere to go, then you can go in, but I don't see any point in going on purpose.
