A building of incredible cosmic shape and beauty. I liked the staircase and the installation with the flag of Azerbaijan inside. And there's just a cannon outside!

This is one of the most extraordinary architectural creations that I have ever seen. I do not know the equals of the Heydar Aliyev Cultural Center for the unusual futuristic design and the elegance of the embodiment of the bold idea of the talented Zaha Hadid (about whose passing our guide spoke with sincere bitterness, as about the loss of a very close person). An intricate building without a single straight line and right angle, musical architecture frozen by a huge white-foam wave symbolizing eternity and infinity, ornamental plants and colorful snails and hares, a picturesque pond, well–groomed territory and lush greenery - all this caught the eye and pleased the soul with harmony and beauty. Some guides tell the whole world "in secret" that the view from above of the cultural center is a giant projection of the signature of President Heydar Aliyev himself. In fact, this is just a local myth and a game of imagination, which is quite understandable: after all, in such a fantasy-fantastic place, beautiful stories should be born.
