My wife and I decided to make a full visit to the Cathedral of the Nativity on 08/03/25, as an excursion was organized starting from the rotunda of the square of Family, Love and Fidelity. This is the only cathedral in the territory of the Soligorsk district. It is located on a fenced area, where, in addition to the building itself, there is a very beautiful territory, many benches and several objects of children's entertainment: a ship, slides, obstacles, mini-trampolines. As for the architecture, although the main building looks like an old miner's lantern from above, I see in it a resemblance to St. Isaac's Cathedral in St. Petersburg. The interior of the small church is impressive, with passages, a baptismal room with a cross-shaped bath, wall paintings, and icons. In the process, we were told the basics of the history of the Orthodox faith in clear language, and there was a small buffet, which is also cute and modern. The main building inside is simply magnificent! Being inside, I can't believe that this is our Soligorsky Cathedral, such beauty and spirituality. Our work team, about 15-16 years ago, voluntarily allocated funds for the construction of the temple for several years, small amounts, but many employees. Some of them were outraged when it was semi-forced, but after a while, when the domes of the construction site unfolded to their full width and glittered with gilding, one of the past troublemakers said: My stomach skipped a beat). Those words stuck in my mind. In case of visits from nonresidents or foreign friends, I try to bring them here or take them near the cathedral, saying that this is the largest spiritual building in the southern part of Belarus. If Our cathedral is not the main building in the city, then it is definitely very important and the most beautiful.
