The first place I ate in Azerbaijan! God, mashed eggplant (and I'm a fan of them) well, to say that I'm ready to kiss the sand that the cook walked on is to say nothing 🫶😂 I took the noodles, they turned out to be more like soup, but noodles with seemingly added beans, lentils and spinach definitely don't sound exciting, but they are great with a rich spicy taste. For the second year in a row, we come to Baku and the first thing we do is run to our beloved Sahil. As always, everything is on top - both the kitchen and the service. My favorite is salad with arugula and cherries. But meat, snacks, soups, and other salads are all excellent. Just be careful - the portions are very generous. Sahil has already become a real tradition for us - a trip to Baku is simply unthinkable without it.

Two stars just for the nice interior. The food is very, very average quality, the cocktails are tasteless, the staff is slow. The hostess sat us down at a table near the counter with dirty dishes and made us wait until other tables were free to transfer us. When this "miracle" happened, we saw that the hall was empty rather than full. It's unclear why we weren't transplanted right away. Of the 8 tables, 3 were occupied. The bewilderment is indescribable. All in all: pathos that costs neither time nor money. The food is like it came from a cafeteria, the drinks are like they were made by a 3-year-old kid. Arugula and cherry salad- don't order it for anything, it's disgustingly salty and sour. Such a "feature" of the dish. Some unknown "something" in the rice… Tender chopped lamb with cherries- without cherries.

Wonderful cozy Sahil restaurant, translated as the Embankment. We tried a few dishes, but everything was delicious - tender rolls with mmmmm greens and meat , excellent lyulyasha and salad with local tomatoes and onion, and the beer is delicious in Baku. Just about the cons - there are none! The kitchen, the food, the service - everything is excellent. Having tried it once, we returned here for dinner more than once. Very friendly and good-natured staff! Fast delivery, affordable prices. Everyone should definitely visit this institution after hiking in the "Old Town". I have not visited - I have not been to Baku! The shah pilaf turned out to be cold, two waiters asked how you liked the dishes, they said that the meat and rice were served cold, only the lavash and the edge of the pilaf warmed up, but there was no reaction, they did not offer to warm it up. Sahil is super!!! On the first day we came and it turned out that we couldn't go in without an appointment. We signed up for the next day only. The place has a very pleasant interior. Simply incredible okroshka in this restaurant, which we ordered three times, despite the fact that it was January, although we additionally diluted it with amazing local ayran and sprinkled with amazing local seasoning sumac! I also really liked the lime leaf dolma, it is many times more tender than grape leaves, and the vegetable dolma, it is stuffed pepper, tomato and eggplant, very tasty! I can also highlight the kutabs, which are with greens, with cottage cheese, with lamb, with cheese, they are excellent, they melt in your mouth! There are also many local wines in the wine list, which was important for us, we tasted different ones every day! Everything is amazing, we recommend it!
