Great place! A historic mosque dating back to the 1500s. Beautiful architecture, calm atmosphere, few tourists. Free entrance, convenient location near the bazaar. I advise you to visit - you will feel the real Istanbul!

Beautiful Bayazit Mosque The Bayezid Mosque is one of the largest mosques in Istanbul and has two minarets. It is located in the old part of the city on Beyazit Square. Next to the mosque are the gates of the Grand Bazaar and the main gate of Istanbul University. The mosque was built by order of Sultan Bayezid II in 1500-1506. The diameter of the dome is 17 meters.

It's beautiful, everyone is friendly and can provide a guide who speaks your language, ready to tell you what Islam is, not intrusively and interestingly, there is a lot of free literature, including pro-Orthodox, the daughter was given the Quran in Russian (semantic translation)

One of the masterpieces of Islamic culture. Breathtaking in its splendor! Everything is in very good condition. Turks take care of their cultural heritage. Well done!

Beyazit Mosque (one of Sultan Suleiman's sons and his Hurrem) Built by order of Sultan Bayezid II in 1500-1506, it is located in the old part of the city on Beyazit Square, next to the gates of the Grand Bazaar. We got into it by chance, there were no plans, we stomped on foot from Suleymaniye to the Grand Bazaar in Istanbul (Turkish name - Kapalicarsi) — one of the oldest and largest indoor markets in the world and saw the mosque at night, admittedly, in the last days before flying home, some kind of excitement began to visit important places, and here the son himself, well, how not to go in) There is a small garden behind the mosque, where the turbas (crypts) of Sultan Bayezid II, his daughter Selcuk Sultan and Grand Vizier Mustafa Reshid Pasha are located - as we later read on the Internet, but of course we did not see it, because it was already very late, and there was a market and the famous ice cream in front. 🤭 In fact, you can't get around Istanbul in 5 days, even in the mode, I left at 7 and returned at 11. The Beyazit Mosque is not a very famous place, otherwise it would have been in our plans initially, but it is very, very beautiful and, if you look at it, within walking distance from Fatih. All mosques are beautiful, some are attracted by color schemes or expensive decorations, others by antiquity or modernity, but in this one, we felt some kind of calm. Well I do not know… We were there for literally 15-20 minutes and it was great that we came in. Come in too.

The mosque is good, like all the others in the city. There are plenty of mosques in the city (at least where I went). It is very convenient, as the time has come, you can safely pray.

Coming to Istanbul and not visiting this mosque is an omission worth avoiding. Here, every stone keeps a history, every decoration is imbued with the grandeur of centuries. Tourists freeze with delight, architecture fans fall in love at first sight, and true connoisseurs of historical mosques feel the breath of the past come alive before their eyes. It's not just a place — it's the heart of Istanbul that needs to be seen, felt and remembered forever.”

The mosque is located on the square of the same name, built by the Ottoman Sultan Bayezid II in 1500-1506, looks magnificent both inside and out. A majestic, salted, historical place.

The Beyazit Mosque was built by the Ottoman Sultan Bayezid II in 1500-1506, half a century after the fall of Constantinople. The mosque is located on the square of the same name. Now the mosque looks great both externally and in its interior decoration. It is not difficult to see this during your walk along the Divan Yolu street...

The mosque is located on the square of the same name in the European part of Istanbul. I lived nearby. Convenient location - there are many famous places in the city nearby. The mosque is more than 500 years old. The mosque has a madrasah and the oldest baths. Near the university and the entrance to the Grand Bazaar.

Nicely. There are quite a few mosques in Istanbul. The main thing is not the building, but the people nearby.
