One of the best hypermarkets I've seen (and I've seen a lot of them). There are quite expensive restaurants in the UAE. Lulu ("Pearl" in Arabic) has an incredible selection of freshly prepared products, any cuisine - Indian, Malay, Filipino, Pakistani, Chinese, European. Here, behind the wall, there is a hot workshop where all this is being prepared. There are always four soups to choose from, you come up and pour it into a large glass, 6.5 dirhams. Considering the cost of food in restaurants, it helps a LOT. As my wife said, "if Lulu were in Russia, she wouldn't cook at all." There is a huge selection of food, rows of vegetables and fruits are simply endless, ready-made salads from such exotics that the eyes run away. The choice of fish and seafood is something fabulous. There are other sales departments on the floor above, but we only went up there once. And finally, the prices. And they are for groceries, in a fairly expensive UAE (shock), give or take Moscow prices, about the level of the Intersection. Ready-made food prices are lower than ready-made food from Moscow supermarkets, and the quality and freshness are incomparably higher. But the photo was taken by the sweets department (the chefs prepared cakes for the visitors to see) and the sugar cane from which the sugar syrup was squeezed.
