You can go to Konya without booking a hotel, except for individual religious holidays (for example, the dervish festival in December). The trip occurred spontaneously, and it was not possible to book a hotel through Agoda with Union pay. Yandex Navigator brought us to Aziziye Street, which is 5 minutes from the Mevlana Mausoleum, where there are several hotels in each house, in 20 minutes you can check the prices/rooms and choose what you like. The prices are approximately the same, the range is from 900 to 3000 liras, in any case cheaper than on Booking.com . If you pay in cash, it's even cheaper. The price for a room in this hotel is 2000 Turkish lira.with breakfast, although it really costs less. The rooms are not small, water, shower, light, refrigerator are present. The linen is clean. The room may smell of cigarettes. The locals smoke like steam locomotives. You can request a non-smoking room. I was lucky. The windows overlook the street and the courtyard. It's better to take it from the courtyard, it's quieter there. Although at 5 a.m. the muezzin from the minaret still won't let you sleep. The reception staff is sane, friendly, and even understands and speaks some English. The breakfast is simple, with boiled eggs, French fries, rolls with cheese and sujuk. Greens, cheese, cheeses, olives, vegetables, fruits are all fresh. There is a titan in the lobby, round-the-clock tea/or hot water without restrictions. The hotel is well located, 2 minutes to the Selim Mosque and 5 minutes to the entrance to the Mevlana Mausoleum. Parking on the courtyard side. Nearby there are catering outlets with quite reasonable food. So I recommend it, but don't expect a miracle.
