St. Peter's Church John (Johannes). It is located in a landmark place for the Swedes - at the top of the Brunkeberg ridge, where in 1471 the troops of Regent Sten Sture Sr. defeated the Danes and their allies. The current church was built late - in 1890, in the Neo-Gothic style fashionable for that time. The fate of the church was sad due to design errors. In 2021, it was discovered that the steel fastening of the spire had rusted and needed urgent and expensive repairs. There was no such money, and the question arose of demolishing the church, as it became dangerous to stay in it. As a result, in 2024 the church was sold to the Polish Catholic Mission, which will renovate it. The wooden bell tower and the ancient cemetery remained in the ownership of the Swedish Protestant Church. General Georg von Debeln, sung by the poet Johan Runeberg in The Stories of Ensign Stoll, is buried in the cemetery. To climb a fairly steep mountain, you can use a free elevator (which, however, still needs to be found).
