Delight! This is one of those restaurants that will be remembered forever. Positive: · Incredible view: The view of the Golden Horn, Galata Bridge and the Suleymaniye Mosque is simply breathtaking. We booked a table on the terrace at sunset, and it was magical. The perfect place for a romantic dinner or a special occasion. · Great cuisine: A gastronomic delight! We tried kebabs and meat dishes, the meat is very tender, perfectly cooked and seasoned. Branded kebabs from the chef are a must—order. · High level of service: The staff is attentive, professional and courteous. The waiters helped with the selection of dishes and gave good advice. Everything is served quickly and with a smile. · Atmosphere: The restaurant occupies several floors, you can feel its history and status. There is always a full house, there is a lively, but moderately noisy atmosphere of happy people. Minuses: · Prices: The restaurant belongs to the premium class. Prices are above the average in Istanbul. But for such quality of food, service and appearance, you definitely get what you pay for. · Reservations are required: It is almost impossible to get in without booking a table, especially on the terrace in the evening. It is better to plan a visit in advance. Hamdi is a classic of Istanbul and a must-visit for the true gourmet. This is a place where you pay not only for the food, but for the whole experience — an amazing panorama, impeccable service and reference tastes of Turkish cuisine. I definitely recommend it! Despite the fact that this restaurant is located in the most popular tourist area, the cuisine there is excellent. I would say that this is one of the best restaurants of Turkish cuisine. I've never booked a place, but sometimes it seems like it needs to be done, since the flow is huge. By the evening and closing, there may not be the most popular dishes, but it doesn't matter - there will be others equally delicious. The service is excellent, everything is prepared and delivered quickly. Everything is very tasty and satisfying. The portions are large.

We had dinner at the restaurant in September 2024, the food and service were excellent, but the price was too high and not worth the money (dinner for three cost 3,300 lira). The interior of the establishment is old, you can smoke on the outdoor veranda and an unpleasant smell of tobacco could be heard from the neighboring tables.

The condition of the restaurant itself is deplorable, as if we can watch the sunset of the institution. There are 5 waiters per square meter, and between them there is an endless bazaar. The dish was sour and without any expressiveness, there were pieces of wet bread mixed with meat, which made me think it was an attempt to mimic meat.

Follower complaint: "We had dinner with my wife at Hamdi Restaurant in Eminönü Egyptian Bazaar. When the account came, we noticed that they took the money for the bread and half a glass of water that were given with the meal from us. In addition, a service fee of 10% was added to the payment. The funny thing is that we gave 1 bread 1 half glass of water 50 TL, 2 people 100 TL. We also supported the salary of the staff by 190 TL. On top of that, the staff waited on us for a tip. There are no hangers, you have to hang your outerwear on the back of a chair. Very spicy barely, but delicious. We left 750 tours with a bottle of wine and 7 glasses of beer (0.33 liters). I didn't like it here at all. Turks come here to have lunch. A clean walk-through place, not cozy. The menu is generally sparse. The prices are high. You hang your outerwear on chairs. The toilet is on the second floor, you need to take the elevator down. The waiter waited 10 minutes to take the order. Local residents are served quickly and efficiently. In general, we did not enjoy it. The only plus is of course the view.
