This is one of those restaurants where you want to come back again and again. An ideal place for those who want to feel the real Georgian hospitable spirit without leaving Almaty. Atmosphere and interior (5/5): From the very first step you get into a cozy, authentic "courtyard". The decoration is thought out to the smallest detail: stonework, wooden furniture, vines, traditional Georgian carpets and dishes. Very cozy and spacious at the same time. There are several halls, as well as a summer veranda, which must be especially good in the warmer months. Background music — beautiful Georgian melodies that create a mood, but do not interfere with conversation. Cuisine and food (5/5): That's the main reason to come here. All the dishes were fresh, flavorful and cooked with soul. · Khachapuri in Adjarian: Just a reference. Fresh, warm, with crisp edges and perfectly spread egg and cheese. You'll lick your fingers. · Khinkali: A real hit! The dough is thin but firm, the farce is juicy and fragrant. Served very hot, with the right black pepper. Take at least 3-4 pieces per person. · Satsivi with chicken: Rich, rich nutty flavor, the chicken is tender and literally melts in your mouth. It is served with traditional Georgian bread. · Lamb shish kebab : Soft, juicy, with a slight smoky note from the coals. The marinade was felt, but it did not interrupt the taste of the meat. Separately, I would like to praise the tkemali sauce – it was exactly what it should be: with a pleasant sourness and spices. Maintenance (5/5): The staff is very attentive, polite and competent. The waiter helped with the selection of dishes, told everything in detail, recommended what goes together. Everything arrived quickly, without delay. Tea and coffee were poured on time. Prices (4/5): The prices are above average, but they fully correspond to the quality of the products, the size of the portions and the level of the establishment. This is not a budget fast food, but a full-fledged restaurant experience. The portions are large and satisfying. Khachapuri or a portion of khinkali can be a full meal. Result: Georgian Courtyard is an absolute top five and one of the best Georgian restaurants in Almaty. Everything is perfect here: for a romantic dinner, a noisy feast with friends or a family holiday. I highly recommend you to visit! Tip: The restaurant is popular, so it's better to book a table in advance for Friday evenings or weekends.

Very pleasant place, calm and cozy atmosphere. Beautiful design in pleasant colors. Everything was sooooo delicious and so wonderfully cooked. Homemade wine is very tasty and pleasant. Top staff, well done. The waiter was always nearby, helped with everything, prompted with the choice of dishes, removed the kebabs from the skewers, poured all the drinks, reacted promptly and took away the empty dishes, did not keep waiting at all. I definitely recommend the place and I will come back here more than once.

Amazing cuisine! Mostly Georgian. The kebabs are 10 out of 10, the salads are great. The service is excellent, the waiters are attentive, quick and well aware of the menu, they can recommend dishes. She is a frequent guest of this cafe. I recently visited the Teacher's Day with the guests, they were delighted with the dishes. I am glad that the interior was renovated in the summer. Although even when it was renovated and smelled of paint, it did not stop either us or other guests of this wonderful institution. Good luck to you, our dear favorite cafe!

She said that her chefs were discussing us, that we had been studying the menu for a long time. How much should I study the menu if it's my first time there??? Unfortunately, I can't say that about shish kebab. The chicken is simply not there, no spices are felt, the taste of ordinary boiled chicken from a barbecue was surprised. There was a piece of fat and cartilage on each stick of lamb. Lyulya is pretty good. I don't want to repeat it. They did a pretty nice renovation inside. Soft comfortable sofas.
