The Palace and park of Versailles are beautiful! The stunning architecture, amazing finishes, paintings, and park design are unique and unrepeatable! If only the fountains were still working)))... they never work, they turn on once a year for verification. The snow-white Versailles ensemble impresses with luxury and elegance. I highly recommend visiting if possible.

You can't just come and buy a ticket to the Palace of Versailles. Online tickets only. You get in line in time and the entrance is fast enough.

It's a wonderful place, I was wildly delighted, I would love to spend more time in the park walking in the fresh air. There are many exhibits and paintings in the palace itself that I have seen in school textbooks, emotions of joy are difficult to express in words. I got to know many French leaders by sight, without reading the signatures under the sculptures. Soviet cinema was very careful in selecting actors based on Dumas' novels. BUT Versailles is definitely losing to our Tsarskoye Selo and Peterhof, both individually and collectively. The only thing that is much better is the climatic conditions)))

Who hasn't heard of Versailles? I don't think there are any. You can feel the breath of history here at every step. The vastness of the historical monument is most striking. Electric vehicles are offered to view the entire complex. But just going around and seeing the palace grounds is not enough. You need to wander through the alleys of the park to feel the spirit of the times and the events that took place here many years ago. I think that everyone should visit here at least once, if there is such an opportunity, of course.

The Palace of Versailles is a palace and park ensemble with gorgeous gardens and a beautiful residence of the French kings. The luxury and wealth of the residence is amazing! And in the gardens of Versailles there are almost 60 reservoirs and 600 fountains. Just imagine the scale of these clearly geometric landscape arts!!! If possible, visit Versailles, because you really need to see it with your own eyes. The photo does not convey all the beauty of this wonderful place.

Louis 14 created not just a palace, but a whole universe of luxury, where every day turned into a theatrical performance. The Sun King understood that power should dazzle its subjects with its splendor. The mirror gallery reflected not only the light, but also the boundless ambitions of the monarch. Yes, the treasury was empty, France was suffocating from debts, and the people were starving. But the question is: what price can you put on something that has become a symbol of French genius? The king left a masterpiece to his descendants, which is admired by millions of people from all over the world. Today, Versailles is a grandiose treasure trove of art with a huge art gallery, bringing in millions of euros from tourism and giving the world invaluable history lessons. P.S. Look at the Lamborghini photo. It seems that modern "kings" also prefer luxury carriages!)) True, now they are on rubber wheels and with a motor, but the principle is the same: the shine should dazzle!

The next point was the Palace of Versailles, which is very large, very beautiful, and looks like our Hermitage Museum) Set aside at least 1 day for viewing the palace and more time for a walk in the park! I recommend it for viewing!

An incredible place in terms of scale. I really liked it. We bought a ticket to all the halls. The price is 25 euros. We walked for 5 hours and didn't have time to go through everything.

We were early in the morning, passed without problems. People were gradually filling up, and in many halls it is impossible to stop at all. Of course it is beautiful and authentic. Fountains are not working as always. They didn't get into the park, because they were preparing a playground for the Olympics.

It is very reminiscent of Peterhof with fountains. Huge well-maintained territory. Crowds of people. Canals, flower beds, fruit trees in tubs. There are few benches: people are relaxing on the grass. But everything is cooler in Peterhof!

As far as I was concerned, Versailles was a little poor compared to our Peterhof. The rooms were too dark and stuffy. In general, you can not waste time and money on Versailles and go to Peterhof.

I've always wanted to visit Versailles.I imagined how kings lived there, balls were held, the kings' favorites schemed. Beautiful territory, elegant buildings, historical place. If there is an opportunity, you can go there.

After all, this is a must-visit place for almost any tourist. But somewhat overrated. We got there quickly by train. Fortunately, the long queue for tickets moved quickly, it was within half an hour. And they didn't stand at the entrance to the palace at all. It was great because it was very hot here in August of the 12th year. Of course, inside there are masterpieces of painting and interior design, luxurious ceilings and decorations. But it was terribly dusty, crowded with people in every room, and some of the walls were covered with some kind of structures in the form of gray slabs. And in some of the halls there were modern installations that are not suitable for this museum, which is now the Palace of Versailles. But the size of the main palace is certainly impressive, and you need to rest thoroughly after walking around it. There is also a small cafe inside, which I would not recommend to anyone - only baguettes and those are tasteless. When mirrors were expensive, the Mirror Gallery was impressive, but now it just remains to admire the magnificent decoration of the walls and ceiling, since the mirrors themselves are small (although there are many of them) and they do not look brilliant. But the marble and the painting here are great. The Gallery of Battles is one of the most interesting places in Versailles, in my opinion. A spacious hall with a glass roof and epic huge canvases depicting French battles. It is interesting to look at them, and in general the gallery is very bright. Only modern installations are out of place, such as the Valkyries placed in front of Horace Vernet's painting "Before the Battle of Bouvines" and Joan Vasconcelos' Lilycopter placed in front of Charles Lariviere's painting "Arrival of the Duke of Orleans at the Hotel de Ville". And yes, I liked Peterhof better.

A beautiful royal palace. Louis 14 was the luckiest of all, he ruled for 72 years, Louis 15 - 58 years, and the last king Louis 16 - 18 years. Then the revolution, the guillotine, and Versailles ceased to be a royal residence.

I was in Paris for the third time and went to Versailles for the first time. I was in shock, I thought after Peterhof nothing would surprise me, but no, it's very beautiful here in its own way! You should definitely go to the palace and take an audio guide☝️

The palace square is very large, the palace itself is quite simple but refined in its symmetry. It's pompous inside, Peterhof, if you compare it, it's brighter, of course.

Beautiful, well-groomed, with old paintings by famous authors and royal chambers. If you also want to visit the park and the village of Queens and Trianon, it is better to start visiting early in the morning.

There was a huge queue to get into the Palace. But it was worth it! Then walk through the park and realize that the crowned heads of France once lived and walked here. The destinies of people and the world were being decided. We have repeatedly seen many elements of the Palace and the park in historical films of France. But it's one thing to see it on the canvas of the screen, and the other is to see it with your own eyes, breathing in the air of the Republic!

Both the exterior and interior decoration are indescribably delightful. Do not take an evening tour with the show, they sing and dance so-so, nothing interesting, but the guides just make you run through the halls, not allowing you to linger for photos and a more detailed examination of the room decorations. Take the audio guide and go at your usual pace and look at everything.

The largest castle in Europe. A very pompous and luxurious castle with a huge territory. There are very long queues. Buy tickets online, save some time. Not much furniture and decoration has been preserved inside. During the French Revolution, a lot was plundered, sold and is now kept in private collections. The French government sometimes buys things that once lived here from private collectors. Empty rooms are used for interactive presentation. Fountains will start working on May 1. At 15.30, the fountains are turned on and the musical performance begins. Well, as a performance, the music is different and the fountain is unchanged. You can rent a golf cart and drive to the village of Maria Theresa. An hour costs 34 €, do not forget to take your driver's license with you.

An interesting historical building. The tour in Russian stops at the story about Napoleon :) There are few expositions (but maybe I was unlucky). It's not scary. A very beautiful park. Singing fountains, sculptures, neatly decorated alleys. You can lie on the grass in the shade of the trees. A positive charge and a sense of beauty remains for a long time!!! It's not boring to stand in line at the museum :)

The palace and park ensemble in France, the former residence of the French kings in the city of Versailles, now a suburb of Paris; a center of tourism of world importance. Versailles was built under the leadership of Louis XIV from 1661 and became a kind of monument of the era of the "sun king", an artistic and architectural expression of the idea of absolutism.

It's a terrible situation, at this time of the year all the statues in the park are closed and there's not much to look at because on the day of our visit, part 2 of the exposition was closed, the paths are not the most convenient. +on the day of our trip, there were strikes and the RER did not work, which led to the fact that we drove to Versailles for 40 euros, and back for 75 because the meters traveled were considered, and the time spent in a taxi

Briefly about the main thing for connoisseurs of paper clips "A la guerre comme à la guerre": "Gallery of Battles - one of the most interesting places of Versailles, in my opinion." The main thing is short for those who remember the duty of honor: "The Russian commander Occupation corps Count Mikhail Vorontsov in 1918, when the last soldiers We left France, and I paid my debts for everyone. To do this, he had to sell the Krugloye estate!"
