First of all, the building itself is impressive-massive, with a portico, everything is classic))) On the ground floor we visited the exhibition of the 20th century Belarusian artist M. Sevruk. I would like to mention high-quality text explanations that help to understand the artist's work and put it into context. On the 2nd floor in the foyer there are national costumes and works by contemporary artists, and then there is the collection itself. To understand where the "Unequal Marriage" and "Overseas guests" come from, I recommend that you familiarize yourself with the history of the museum and especially with what it had to go through during the war. The returned exhibits are marked with stars (among them are portraits of 20 Radziwills and other historical characters). In general, the museum makes a very positive impression. I recommend it to everyone!

A wonderful museum, a rich collection of paintings by famous Russian artists. I was also very pleased with the modern Belarusian painting. The building is authentic and modern at the same time, very beautiful and inviting, and there are many wedding photo shoots on weekends. A must-visit in Minsk The lady in the wardrobe is a separate art form. It's the first time I've met such a polite and friendly employee in the cloakroom of the state Museum.👍🏻

A very good collection of Russian art from the 18th and 20th centuries. Shishkin and Aivazovsky, Repin and Savrasov, Levitan and Kramskoy, Mashkov and Kustodiev. There is something to see! But many paintings need restoration! The Omani exposition is very interesting. It was interesting to look at the paintings of the Belarusian artist Sevryuk. I especially liked the collection of bronze sculptures. In general, it was very unexpected to see large wooden sculptures.
