You definitely need to visit Minsk. Beautiful building, convenient for inspection. A large collection of paintings and works of art from all over the world.

There are not enough strong oil paintings, except for early Serov and four canvases by MALYAVIN, in juicy crimson shades.
A chic grand piano in the lobby, Steinway Songs, which does honor to the Belarusian Museum of painting. A well-executed multi-tiered extension with a glass exterior, I believe that the storeroom is not bad, it's time to lift new accumulated works from it.

A great place to relax and enjoy painting. You can take a guide, but in principle you can do it yourself, there are explanatory inscriptions everywhere, and there are QR codes in the halls with modern art. Exhibitions of famous painters are held periodically! The ticket is inexpensive. I advise you to visit!

In general, I love academic art museums. There is a good collection of Russian paintings here: Repin, Kuindzhi, Aivazovsky, Shishkin, Serov, Vasnetsov, Levitan, Savrasov, Kramskoy and many others. A great addition for fans of the Tretyakov Gallery and the Russian Museum. Be sure to visit!

Well, it would seem, what can surprise the native Petersburgers? But you can surprise.
The museum's exposition is primarily an excellent collection of Russian classics. My wife and I were sincerely pleased, as the gallery is in no way inferior to our Russian Museum.
I really hope that the future of Belarus will be in good neighborliness with us, as the entire exposition of the museum says that our joint history is at the same time tragic, majestic and beautiful.
I definitely recommend you to visit!

An interesting collection of local socialist realism, there are Serov, Korovin, Kustodiev. I liked the Belarusian stories. The museum building is in good condition. One of the disadvantages is an inconvenient control system: it is necessary to present not only a ticket, but also a receipt. Sometimes it's inconvenient

He began his acquaintance with the museum with a temporary exhibition - an exhibition of Belarusian costume. A very good collection of Russian paintings, unexpectedly large. As far as I understand, there are many things transported after the war from the funds of the Pushkin, Tretyakov Gallery and the Russian Museum. There are several halls of Belarusian artists of both the Soviet period and modern ones. There is a hall where ceramics, costumes and decorative art items from India, Japan and other Eastern countries are presented. In general, I definitely recommend you to visit. A wonderful museum. It's a pity that there wasn't enough time. Like any large museum, it is impossible to see at one time..

It's worth coming in and taking a look. The area is generally small, but there is a collection of 16th-20th centuries European, Belarusian, and Russian artists. There is, for example, Aivazovsky.

The space is strangely organized: at first it seems that there are only two floors, but it turns out that there are four floors and another transition to another building. Soviet aunts are sitting in each hall and they don't tell anyone about the opportunity to go to another hall, but they don't even let them in - but then after several rechecks of the ticket, they let them in. The exhibits themselves are boring. I didn't like the museum: I do not recommend it compared to a similar museum in Nizhny Novgorod or the MINI mock-up museum in Minsk.

A wonderful museum, with its own highlights. However, the whole impression is spoiled by employees who are rude. A woman at the checkout with a dissatisfied expression and tone answers questions gnawing. At the entrance, another lady demanded a receipt, in addition to tickets, which no one asked to keep. Again, they made a rude remark, saying that someone collects it, and you immediately threw it away. They collect tickets, not receipts. I don't know where they found the people who collect the checks. There was a feeling that women are set up to swear and love to make comments, but tourists come to the gallery who make up their impression of the country.

It's a very cool museum.
It is interesting to walk and look at the works of various sculptors, artists, etc.
The only thing that confused the shooting of weddings and on-site registration.
I was also confused by the lighting in some halls (in the old building), which does not show the whole story very well

We got here recently! Just like that on a day off. After all, human art simultaneously INSPIRES, SURPRISES, INSPIRES and invariably SOOTHES from the hustle and bustle!
Everyone forgot not only about phones, but also about headphones!!!
I did not know that the museum has an original copy of the painting "Unequal Marriage" in full size! I was struck by the works of Belarusian Leonardo da Vinci- Yazep Drozdovich, taking into account the fact that he wrote them at the beginning of the 20th century, and even on the topic of space!
I saw Savitsky's work in a new way.
I took a very close look at the Slutsk pajamas. In general, let's go MORE THAN ONCE! I was struck by the fact that there are few people, but for me it is an outlet, you can walk, look, think in silence!!!!I RECOMMEND IT!!!!
Of the cons: the air in the old building is extremely stale, I understand that a certain temperature is needed, but the stuffiness and a special aroma may be a surprise to someone.

Yes, the museum is worth a visit. I'm not a connoisseur of painting, but the collection of icons on the ground floor is worth a visit! Just looking at what is depicted on them, the details, style, clothes of the characters- it's hard not to come to the conclusion - not everything is as unambiguous as the history textbook interprets!
