Every year, events dedicated to Cosmonautics Day and sometimes New Year's holidays are held near this monument to Yuri Gagarin with the support of the Russian Embassy.
A meeting place is set up here or people are just walking, and children from the sloping back side of the monument arrange skiing in winter and summer, preparing to become astronauts :)
