OKKU is the epitome of modern Japanese gastronomy in Dubai style: spectacular, atmospheric and incredibly delicious. Located in the Marriott Resort Palm Jumeirah, the restaurant impresses from the first seconds — the subdued lights, designer interiors with aquariums, live music and the sensual energy of Dubai evening. The kitchen is a delight. Each dish is served as a work of art. Black truffle wagyu roll, missou salmon, rock shrimp tempura and signature black cod are impeccable. The fish is the freshest, the balance of flavors is accurate, the sauces are verified. Cocktails are a different story: bartenders work magic, especially Tokyo Blossom and Wasabi Martini. The service is exemplary: friendly, attentive, but without hypocrisy. The waiters know the menu down to the smallest detail and are happy to recommend dishes to suit your mood. Music and light create an atmosphere of a private celebration, but without pretentiousness. Yes, the prices are above average, but here they are fully justified — it's an experience, an emotion and a gastronomic show. We specially chose a hotel where there would be several restaurants so as not to drag our parents through the heat in Dubai. Our first dinner was at a Japanese restaurant called Okku. This wonderful place immediately intrigued everyone with its non-trivial entrance with barrels of sake changing in different colors. The dishes ordered were of high quality and stunningly decorated.
