The salon of Mars smoothly transitions from the salon of Diana (with the painting "The Sacrifice of Iphigenia" by Charles de Lafosse located above the fireplace) to the salon of Mercury, and there is a portrait of Louis 15 and the Pilgrims of Emmaus by Charles Lebrun. Together with the rest of the salons, they make up a large royal suite.
