Another magical place. A masterpiece of Turkisthan's Turkic art and culture. It is the youngest monument in the monumental ensemble of Registan, which is formed by the Ulug Begue and Sher-Dor and Tilyakori madrasas. It was built between 1646 and 1660, ten years after the construction of the Sher-Dor Madrasa. The madrasa was not only used for the education of students but was also one of the most important mosques for a long time.

Tillya-Kari Madrasah is one of the most exquisite and impressive buildings on Registan Square in Samarkand. The name "Tillya-Kari" translates as "covered with gold", and this is fully justified when visiting. The main decoration of the madrasah is its inner mosque, where the walls and dome are richly decorated with golden patterns. When you get inside, you get a feeling of real luxury and solemnity. The building was built in the 17th century and served two functions at once: a madrasa and a cathedral mosque for the entire area. This makes it special among other Registan structures. The architecture of the madrasah is distinguished by harmony and grandeur: a spacious courtyard surrounded by cells, a high portal with bright mosaics and elegant ornaments. Everything looks very neat and thoughtful. The atmosphere inside is calm and inspiring. Here you want to linger, consider every detail and just enjoy the beauty. The play of light on the golden decor makes a particularly strong impression. In general, Tillya-Kari madrasah is a real architectural treasure. It completes the Registan ensemble and gives it a special completeness, combining beauty, spirituality and historical significance.

Tillya-Kori Madrasah, built in the 17th century, two centuries later than Ulugbek madrasah, harmoniously completes the architectural ensemble of three beautiful madrasahs on Registan Square. Tillya Kori are turquoise domes sparkling in the sun. This is an abundance of gold in the interior of the central mosque. These are incredibly complex ornaments on the walls and domes. The madrasa houses a museum that clearly demonstrates the achievements of Soviet and Uzbek restorers, as well as an exhibition and sale of products by real craftsmen of Samarkand.

From the view of the Till madrasah‑Kari is breathtaking! The gold on the walls seems to glow from the inside, the mosaic shimmers with all shades of blue and turquoise. Inside there is a special atmosphere of tranquility and grandeur. This is not a building, but a fairy tale embodied in stone.

Beautiful square, magnificent buildings. It is rightfully considered the main square of Uzbekistan. In the evening, beautiful lighting turns on and performances take place. It consists of three beautiful madrasas. In the afternoon, 1 hour is enough to go around, see, admire everything. The main and in fact the only attraction of the city.

The third, the youngest and overlooking Registan Square, is a completed madrasah. It was built on the site of a dilapidated caravanserai of the XV century with partial use of its foundation. During the construction, it was decided to combine it with the juma (i.e. Friday) mosque. In my opinion, the most comfortable of the three.

This is the central Registon square in Samarkand! Of course, it impresses with its grandeur, beauty and historicity! Entrance to the territory of 150,000 soums, you can visit any building. You can hire a tour guide for an additional fee. There are many souvenir shops. This place is located in the park. There are ice cream parlors nearby. In the evening, when darkness falls, a bright, beautiful, pretentious video show in Uzbek is shown on the buildings. By the way, there is a Tamerlane Museum nearby on foot! And in the same park there is Babi Khanum and the largest oriental bazaar! In general, the entire historical center must be bypassed on foot and slowly

Tillya-Kori Madrasah is one of the most striking and unique sights of Samarkand, located on Registan Square. Built in the 17th century, it attracts attention with its magnificent decoration, especially the golden elements that adorn its interior and exterior. Translating the name of the madrasah as "Golden Madrasah", the architects chose golden patterns and mosaics as the main feature of this building. These elements create an atmosphere of magic, especially at sunset, when the madrasah literally shines. The interior of the madrasah is decorated with the most complex ornaments made using gold color, which makes this place not only an architectural masterpiece, but also a real work of art. Mosaics, calligraphy, gold tiles and amazing patterns on the walls — all this creates an atmosphere of oriental luxury and well-being, immersing visitors in the atmosphere of antiquity and grandeur. For those who want to learn more about this wonderful monument, we offer comfortable excursions around Samarkand. Our tours allow you to get to know the unique architectural monuments of the city, such as Tillya-Kori Madrasah and other objects on Registan Square. We also organize individual and group tours of Samarkand, including the opportunity to visit not only the historical center of the city, but also other important places such as the Gur Emir Mausoleum, Shahi Zinda, Bibi Khanum and many others. Our tours are held at a convenient time for you, and also include the possibility of flexible route settings, taking into account your wishes. Immerse yourself in the atmosphere of Samarkand and other cities of beautiful Uzbekistan with our excursions!

Tillya-Kari Madrasah is a real treasure of Samarkand. I live here and I can say that this place never ceases to amaze with its beauty. Every time you pass by the Registan, your eyes automatically stop at the golden decoration of this madrasah. Inside, the incredible interior is striking: the walls and domes are decorated with exquisite paintings, and the main hall of the mosque shines with gold. The atmosphere here is special — calm, solemn and majestic. This is not just a tourist attraction, but a part of our history and culture. For Samarqanders, Tillya Kari is a symbol of the wealth and spiritual heritage of the city. If you find yourself in Samarkand, it is impossible not to visit this place. But even for the locals, it remains a pride, where it is pleasant to return again and again.

An interesting exhibit inside, which is not very tactfully silent about the Soviet stage of the development of this place! But nevertheless, the place is sooo cool!

This is a museum where there are many photos of the old Registan, antique jewelry of extraordinary beauty that I think cannot be seen in other places. The walls and carved doors are beautifully decorated. There are many departments with different souvenirs that the eyes can understand. If you are in Samarkand, you will not regret coming.

The complex was built in 1660. Tillya Kari used to be the main mosque of the city. The Golden Mosque. It translates from Uzbek as "decorated with gold". Now you can see an exhibition of old photographs of Samarkand from the 30s and assess the scale of the reconstruction, carried out primarily by Soviet restorers.

Til-kari Madrasah The gilded madrasah is a cult, spiritual, educational and educational building of the 17th century in Samarkand on Registan Square. It is the latest building on the square and, together with Ulugbek Madrasah and Sherdor Madrasah, forms an integral architectural ensemble. In 2001, among other attractions of Samarkand, it was included in the UNESCO World Heritage List.

An atmospheric place. Inside the mosque, on the right there is a souvenir shop in which a special place is occupied by the works of the author-restorer Zafar. These are miniatures of frescoes of mosques and paintings made with gold leaf and silver.

Beautiful architecture. Everything is permeated with history and greatness. As, however, many cities of Uzbekistan. It is very noteworthy that in order to apply for a place in the ruling elite, it was necessary to study for almost 30 years. For example, learn the Quran by heart in Arabic. And there were no special sets for educational institutions.
