The monument embodies the personality of Ivan Dominikovich Lutsevich (real name Yanka Kupala) as a Poet-fighter [playwright and publicist, winner of numerous prestigious literary prizes] in the city park bearing his name in the very center of Minsk on the right bank of the Svisloch River, and this pleases.
