This is a small "Chinese corner" in the center of Samarkand, interesting as an unusual modern space and a symbol of Uzbek-Chinese cultural ties. Next to the Confucius Garden, it is best to look at more than one object, but take a short walk. The garden itself is located at 15 Universitetskiy Boulevard, next to Samarkand State University. First, just take a walk along University Boulevard. This is one of the most pleasant streets in the center of Samarkand: a wide green alley, the old buildings of the university quarter and the more "European" atmosphere of the old city. Then it is logical to go to the mausoleum of Gur-Emir. In Samarkand hiking trails, it is the next major point after the monument to Confucius; it is the famous tomb of Timur and one of the main symbols of the city. On the way, you can visit the Rukhabad Mausoleum. It is considered one of the oldest preserved mausoleums in Samarkand and is noticeably different from the more elegant monuments — it looks stricter and calmer. If you want to continue your walk, go further to Registan. This is already one of the main historical ensembles of Samarkand, which UNESCO explicitly identifies as a key part of the city's world heritage. In short, next to the Confucius Garden, I would recommend the following order: University Boulevard → Gur-Emir → Rukhabad → Registan. This is one of the most pleasant routes for a quiet walk through the center.
