Hojaqurgan (Hojaqo'rg'on) is literally a village where the Khoja, a class of people whose ancestors were Arabs, live. In this case, the population of this village was formed by immigrants from Tashkent-several Khoja families in the 19th and 20th centuries went to the country to farm in the summer, and returned to the old part of Tashkent for the winter. Over time, they finally settled here and mixed with the local population (approx. Khojas are not usually married off to locals, but they can marry local girls).
