The old heart of Dubai — full of traditional wind towers, museums, and souks. A ride on an abra (wooden boat) across the creek costs just 1 dirham and gives a glimpse of the city’s past.

There are tons of fancy, new buildings in Dubai. But i also like old places, so if you want to experience different/traditional things, I recommend you to visit.

The historic Al Fahidi district in Dubai is a picturesque place that has preserved the spirit of the old city. Its narrow streets, traditional clay houses and barji-style architecture create an atmosphere of the past. Here you can find many museums, art galleries and cozy cafes, as well as explore the history and culture of the region by visiting the Dubai Museum, located in the old fortress of Al Fahidi. This area is ideal for walking and immersing yourself in Arab traditions, and we recommend it to anyone who wants to see Dubai from the historical side.

A great place to walk, a lot of museums, we were at the coffee museum, very colorful, you can take a lot of beautiful photos, unfortunately the oldest historical building, the Dubai Museum, is currently under restoration, it was not possible to get there. Of the cons, there are a lot of Hindus in this area, sometimes it seems that you are in Mumbai, not in Dubai 😆

An interesting place, I highly recommend you to visit. There you can buy jewelry, scarves and many other interesting things. Everything is not expensive and of course make cool photos.

There are interesting corners where you can take photos or admire the traditional architecture. But in general, this is the most common shopping mall/outdoor market. A bunch of annoying junk sellers. But here you can have a great snack - there is a large selection of establishments. I was amazed by the number of surveillance cameras: I counted 9 cameras from one point!

The most soulful place in the whole of Dubai, I want to sing the Arabian night, walking along the streets of this historic district. A must-visit. It can be combined with a crossing of Dubai Creek and a walk through the gold market.

Go to see it once and take photos, no more. It is better to take a tour bus or taxi to get off at the landmark right away. It takes 10 minutes to walk from Al Fahidi metro station. The area itself through which you need to go to the attraction leaves much to be desired. This is not the Dubai you are used to seeing. These are battered houses, garbage on the street. There is laundry on every balcony. There are only migrants on the street, obsessively offering goods and services. You probably won't be able to walk there without adventures in the evening.

We recommend you to visit! This is, of course, a modern installation, but there is a large market and several antique buildings. Take a boat ride from the port to the other side - 1 dirhams per person (as it is considered part of the urban transport system).

A pleasant atmospheric place for people. I mean, first of all, not the commercial part of it, but where there are galleries and museums. It is very pleasant to wander, drink coffee, look at the exhibits and exhibitions, have lunch in an authentic cafe.

Dubai's historic Al Fahidi district is a real gem, steeped in history and culture. Walking through the narrow streets of this area, it was as if I was immersed in the past, in the atmosphere of the old Arab world. Here you can see well-maintained old houses with fancy gates, mosques with exquisite architecture and traditional souvenir shops where you can buy gifts for friends and family. Traveling through this area allows you to understand the history and culture of the country, immerse yourself in the atmosphere of the past and feel the real spirit of the East. In Al-Fahidi, you can also visit museums and galleries, where unique exhibits and works of art are located. This is a great place for those who are interested in the history and culture of the country, as well as for those who just want to have a good time enjoying the beauty and authenticity of the place. I was delighted to visit the Historic Al Fahidi district in Dubai and will definitely recommend it to all lovers of history, culture and travel. This is an unforgettable experience that is definitely worth experiencing.

Previously, you could walk around all the courtyards. Now. Everything is blocked. A certain route is being observed. Some of the courtyards are closed. Part of commerce, magnets and other goods.

Sooo authentic place. In the heat, of course, it's still a challenge to walk there, but the color is amazing. Sellers of all sorts of junk are trying to sell their goods, this is the only disadvantage, but they are only at one point. Otherwise, everything is quiet. When I was there, there were almost no people, it was peaceful I recommend you to visit

This area is a must-visit while in Dubai. He brings back memories of the cartoon Aladdin, as if you were walking along the same streets. There are cafes with a view of the canal, many shops with souvenirs, but the prices here are tourist. A little further there is a mosque and a market, also very colorful places. There is also a museum nearby (Dubai museum), government buildings and ordinary shops are already starting, where you can also buy all the same souvenirs and scarves at very pleasant prices.

It's a curious place. The walk will slightly reveal to you the mentality of the Arab world and culture. One can imagine the atmosphere in which the greatest discoveries in medicine, mathematics and philosophy were made. To dream up a picture of an ancient market... You can even stay there at the Hilton, in a word, the scenery, because these places have no real history except sand and desert. Another 20 minutes walk along the waterfront and you are in the quarters of those who serve glass ~concrete skyscrapers and sparkling life. There is the aroma of the bazaar, street restaurants on the water, a kaleidoscope of colors and tourists bustling on water walks...

The old town is completely restored to the old Bedouin style, all establishments adjust their logos, names and interiors to the old with a local flavor. Across the river there is a large market where you can buy anything and cheaper than anywhere else in the UAE. In general, I liked it, it's worth a visit.

It's a colorful place, you can't just walk around the market, you have to fight off the merchants all the time. They're everywhere. It's a bit dirty and very noisy in places. But it's worth a visit, you can buy souvenirs much cheaper than in the center. Be sure to bargain.

A very beautiful area, unusual buildings that can only be seen in the movies, I was just delighted with this place, I really wanted to see something old in Dubai, skyscrapers are already everywhere, but there is no such thing there. Anyone who goes to Dubai, be sure to go there, just type "Old Town", then you will definitely find it))) But! But One Thing! There's a market there and they cheat, especially Russians are being nobly deceived! Get ready for this. There are a lot of things that you can't buy in a regular store, but watch what they say, how much they ask for things. In fact, you should leave no more than 500derham or even 300 there. I was there day and night, it's actually more fun during the day) And it's also worth taking a walk there away from the embankment, it's very colorful and fun. Ordinary people live, it's not rich, but it's not scary, so take a walk

It is a very beautiful area, especially in the evening. A big market, a bunch of small shops, which it is better not to go into if you are not ready to spend money, because you will do it anyway, either they will persuade you, or you will not resist some outlandish thing, of which there are a lot.

It is very interesting to find out how the Arabs lived before the founding of the UAE. Admission is free, there are signs everywhere, there are signatures in English, there are cafes, toilets, souvenir shops, a hotel. It is illuminated in the evening. You can get there by taxi or by metro with a transfer to the green line, then walk a little through the area where Hindus, Pakistanis, etc. live. But it's also interesting, you see the other side of the coin of life in Dubai.

A must-visit place in Dubai along with the Burj Khalifa. Of course, we know that this is a new model, but it turned out very atmospheric. In the narrow streets, you can shoot historical series or films in the spirit of Indiana Jones. The pictures turned out to be bombastic. Unfortunately, we got there by closing time and did not have time to visit the museums. But we had a delicious meal of fresh fish and shrimp in the restaurant. Oh, and there are live camels.
