The very place to go to eat for the first time in Kazakhstan. It's a wonderful place! The first time we were in Astana and Kazakhstan in general, we went to eat on the advice of a friend here immediately after arrival. A very immersive atmosphere that can replace a museum of local lore, a cozy interior with national ornaments. We were served by the waiter Dulat, a gallant young man trained in the rules of serving and "plate show". At the end of the evening, the restaurant manager came up to us with a friendly conversation, asked if we liked everything in the restaurant, and took a picture of us in our paraphernalia and national costumes in the photo zone at the entrance. The food is without a doubt very tasty, quite a varied menu with exclusively national cuisine. There are also unusual dishes, like koumiss ice cream. The prices are rather slightly higher than the usual pilaf, but the location, the service, the taste, and the atmosphere pay off in full. The price of a regular beshbarmak is around 5,990 tenge, but for this amount you will receive the dish itself, the broth separately, and the sauce. We will definitely return to Astana and Kazakhstan again.

The manager personally approached and asked if he liked everything — it's always nice and speaks about the approach to business. Thanks to this, the dinner turned out not only delicious, but also interesting. I ordered national dishes: Cheese — stewed lamb with potatoes (stewed for 38 hours in a creamy sauce) — incredibly tender meat. Vegetable mix with kaymak dressing is fresh and harmonious. Dessert "Golden Saks" — an unusual combination of caramel and coriander inside, I liked it. Tea with thyme and dried fruits completed the evening perfectly. I'm from Moscow myself, I've seen a lot of restaurants, but this one really didn't leave me indifferent. I am very glad that I got acquainted with the national Kazakh cuisine here. In total, about 23,000 tenge (~3,400)) came out — I think it is more than justified for such a level of cuisine and service. Recommend 👍

We ordered a shurpa and a barbecue meat, brought the meat, and after the soup, respectively, the meat cooled down and became tasteless, they put just a piece of fresh pepper in the shurpa. The aftertaste from the restaurant is not very good and there is no glue orientation. In fact, the beer, samsa and flatbread were delicious!

We were at work in the evening, for some reason there was a crowd of people, and despite booking a table in the back of the room, we were eventually seated right at the doors, which were open all the time, it was scary. The staff coped with such an influx of guests on average, they forgot something or had to wait a long time. At eight o'clock in the evening, there was no samsa with normal-sized meat, and that's exactly what we wanted, but we liked the set of mini samsa with potatoes and pumpkin, it was tasteless with cheese. This time we went through the salads, the most delicious was the cucumber and radish salad. The horse meat dolma is very dry, I don't recommend it at all, as well as the root vegetable salad, which didn't have any dressing at all. In general, I will most likely not come here anymore, I will look for other places with national cuisine, there is definitely a guideline for the guests of Astana. We visited the restaurant twice a year apart. Everything is still at a high level. The cuisine is very tasty, with national dishes to choose from. The interior is modern with national elements, you can even try on a Kazakh national robe and hat;)) there are dishes on the grill, pilaf. We really liked everything. The price tag is closer to the Moscow average.

A nice waitress worked with us, who was guided by the menu and answered our questions. The dishes are national, but beshbarmak turned out to be not the most delicious (there is something to compare it with), lula and turkey kebab are decent. But that's what left a residue, the eldest daughter ordered a homemade salad, its composition was not indicated on the menu, but the waitress only asked if she needed to add cheese to the salad. They brought a beautiful salad, but as soon as her daughter tasted it, she almost started crying. There were plenty of chili peppers sliced into circles. We thought it was bell pepper, but unfortunately the waitress didn't warn us, even though she knew that the teenager was ordering the salad. Prices are slightly above average, and a family without alcohol costs 6-7 thousand rubles. In general, I recommend you to visit.
