After walking along Bonaparte Street, we came to the Seine in the area of the Pont des Arts, which at that time was still hung with castles. They went straight across its boardwalk to the Louvre. The abundance of locks was surprising then, but now they are hung in almost every village, the novelty effect has disappeared. On my first trip to Paris, I lived on the Left Bank, on the second - on the Right. It's worth living there and comparing them to understand that the left is relatively more modern and dynamic, the right is a little more pretentious and more historical. But in fact, just walking along the embankment of the right bank with a view of the Tower is in itself a special pleasure.
