Pont du Gard (French: Pont du Gard, lit. — "the bridge over the Gare") is an ancient Roman aqueduct in the south of France. It is located in the Gare department, 20 km northeast of the city of Nimes. It is spanned by the Gardon River (formerly called Gar). Dimensions: length — 275 meters, height — 47 meters.
