Lovely, cozy house has 8 rooms, with fascinating history and Johnny and Vlad told it well.

I just returned with my husband from a trip to Samarkand, and we stayed at the Rabat hotel. Fantastic, indescribable impressions of two hundred years of antiquity (the hotel is located in the historic district in a building protected by UNESCO). Friendly, welcoming and deeply erudite staff, creating the feeling of an oriental fairy tale filled with customs, legends and historical facts. Many thanks to Firdavs, Vlad, and Jihangir for a wonderful stay and a warm welcome! We're going to go back there again and again!

"Rabat is not just a hotel. It is a living house in which a century-old history breathes." If you are looking for a real, authentic place, choose this hotel in a historical corner of Samarkand. Everything here — from the convenient location to the delicious breakfasts and the warm, family-like staff — creates that magical atmosphere that catches the heart at first sight. My daughter and I were incredibly lucky: we got a two—room suite on the second floor with a veranda facing the dining room and ceiling beams that have been preserved since the original construction of this house. We fell asleep to the whisper of the wind in the leaves of a spreading tree in the courtyard, and woke up to the aromas of cooking breakfasts. And this courtyard! It's big and cozy, with a sprawling tree casting a lacy shadow in the summer heat. A parrot in a cage chirps merrily, turtle doves come to visit, and it's tempting to stretch out on a cot and wooden benches with a book or a bowl of fragrant tea. Warm bricks underfoot, carved doors creaking like in oriental fairy tales — it seems like any minute now, and you'll run barefoot through this courtyard, feeling every unevenness of the ancient masonry... The staff here is the very embodiment of cordiality. They respond immediately, with sincere willingness to help: they will tell you where to find the most delicious cafe with dishes of national cuisine, they will conduct a mini-tour of the house after breakfast (By the way, breakfasts are beyond praise: fresh, delicious fruits, homemade cottage cheese, sour cream, fragrant tea, nuts and dried fruits, fried eggs with herbs or omelet ...). The dining room is a separate story. Tall arched shutters, murals in which you can read like in a book, a carpet on which you walk with your bare feet, a massive chest with a barn lock... It seems as if the ornaments on the walls come to life and whisper mystical stories: a lot of signs in the wall ornaments that can be viewed for a long time, revealing something new, plus the mystical stories of the guests who visited here and felt the "place of power", told by Vladlen, will not leave anyone indifferent. The line between the hotel and the hospitable house of the old town is truly blurred here. Samarkand may change around you, but Rabat is like a drop of frozen time, carefully preserving the traditions and soul of the place. The only thing you regret is that time is running too fast here. You don't have time to absorb all this charm, to feel every corner... But maybe it's for the best? Now we have an ironclad reason to come back again. P.S. If it were possible to put a 5+, it would be a correct estimate.
