Epernay is a small town, but it is here that the heart of the world's champagne is beating. And when you stand in front of the majestic facade of the Moët & Chandon House on the famous Avenue de Champagne, you understand: You're in the right place. Even before entering the cellars, you are greeted by the bronze Perignon House in the courtyard of the mansion. A tribute to the legendary monk, whose innovations in the 17th century laid the foundation for everything we call champagne today. The Moët & Chandon cellars are 28 kilometers of underground galleries cut into the Cretaceous rocks. The temperature here stays around 10-12 °C all year round - ideal conditions for champagne maturation. Millions of bottles are buried in the semi-darkness, some of them will have to wait in the wings for decades. The house of Moët & Chandon is not just a tasting, but a real immersion in the world of French art of living. The interiors are striking in their elegant contrast: noble white and rich red create an atmosphere both solemn and cozy. You feel like a special guest here. These are the spaces of spacious halls with modern design. The gastronomic accompaniment is perfectly matched to each glass and reveals new facets of the taste of the legendary champagne. The staff is impeccable. You feel connected to the centuries-old traditions of winemaking, carefully preserved and perfected. Dom Pérignon is a champagne that requires attention, pause, and a moment. The smallest bubbles rise in an endless string, creating an almost hypnotic effect. It is said that when Pierre Perignon first tasted the result of his labors, he exclaimed: "Go quickly, I drink the stars!" Legend or not, every sip of Dom Pérignon proves that you can really drink the stars.
