The Old Medina is a picturesque oriental town behind the fortress walls. For a nominal fee, you can stroll along the fortress walls, which offer views of the sea and the city. Or just wander through the narrow, winding streets, packed to capacity with small souvenir shops. I think it is much more interesting to visit the new Medina in the Yasmin Hammamet resort area.

We were in 11-25. It's interesting to wander through the old streets, it's a very atmospheric place, there are shops with various goods and souvenirs. There is an embankment nearby, along which you can walk.

We went to Medina Hammamet on our own. Kasbah Fortress, entrance 7 dinars. There is nothing to see inside, in fact, this is a payment for the opportunity to climb the fortress wall and take pictures of Hammamet from above. There are also viewing platforms on the walls of the Medina, so I think visiting the Kasbah was optional. In the old town, the constant harassment of merchants does not allow you to take a quiet walk. With nothing to do, you can go there, but the city is not impressed by anything.

The old quarter, located just behind the fortress. It's very atmospheric: narrow streets, small shops, a lot of locals in colorful outfits. People are quite hospitable, they invite you home to drink tea for a small reward. We went up to one on the veranda, sat with a view of the sea, chatted. However, there are also crooks who try to cheat for money. But they are not dangerous, feel free to send them away...
