And now I'll tell you how I remember this particular mountain. Unprecedented heat has descended into the valley of the Indus River. +40⁰C. And down in India there are generally 70⁰C. It's stuffy everywhere. And there is such moisture around that it is impossible to breathe at +40. The rocks around heat up during the day, and at night they warm up the valley, do not let it cool down. The temperature drops only to +35 ° C. It is impossible to sleep, it is very hot. And I have to be here for another week. Yandex Weather says that the heat will begin to subside only after about 10 days. We need to cool down somehow. I went into this Indus mountain river nearby. I went in, and immediately my legs cramped, I couldn't resist and flew in a swirling stream of water. I almost flew into the waterfall, but well, the local people saw me and picked me up with a stick. I never went into this river again. Then I was able to cool off, but it only saved me for a couple of hours. And I began to look for an island of coolness in the midst of this stuffiness. And I found it! There, in the distance, the Chogori Mountain rises grandiosely. Warming has come there too, but there is no heat there! It's +23 there now. And I decided to go there. I walked half a day to its foot. I got there. After weeks of hiking in the mountains of Asia, my nails have become like wolverine's. I sharpened them with a stone in the middle of the mountain to cling to the ice, and climbed to the top. The claws clung well. After an hour, I climbed in. Streams with crystal clear water ran down the glacier from the mountain. I was sitting on the angelic- white surface of the peak, drinking this purest water and I was blown by a warm, sea breeze from the Arabian Sea. There was a beautiful view of the jungles of India, the Pamir valleys, and the rocky mountains of Pakistan. There was silence around, only a light, warm, sea breeze from the Arabian Sea could break this truly summer silence. That's how I remember the top of this mountain.
