The Qatar National Museum is not just a museum, it is a real journey. The architecture of the building in the form of a "desert rose" is fascinating even on the way. Inside, you are completely immersed in the history and culture of the country thanks to fantastic installations and technologies. This is one of the most modern and impressive museums I've ever been to. A must-visit in Doha, even if you are not a big fan of museums. An amazing experience from start to finish!

The National Cataract Museum is located in Doha and is known for its impressive architecture, reminiscent of the "rose of the desert". It offers visitors a fascinating journey through the history and heritage of Qatar, from archaeological finds to modern expositions.

This is not only an interesting museum, but also a very beautiful building from the point of view of modern architecture. The museum building consists of interconnected disks that create cavities to protect visitors from the heat of the desert. The roof consists of 76,000 panels in 3,600 different shapes and sizes. The architect was inspired by the natural formation "rose of the desert"

At the end of Ramadan, our friend, guide and photographer Olga invited us to visit the National Museum of Qatar so that we could immerse ourselves in the historical component of this young state. We arrived here by 16:00 by metro, the station is called “National Museum” (golden line). A ticket for non-residents costs = 50 QAR (~1165 rubles), and for locals = free. It is considered the main museum of Qatar and we can say with good reason that it is very modern and quite technologically advanced. Our guide told us that architect Jean Nouvel designed this architectural marvel, consisting of 500 fiber-reinforced concrete discs, shaped and colored like a crystal "rose in the desert" stone. The museum contains the entire history of the country, starting from 4000 BC. I liked it, but a lot of space is empty. Put in at least 3 hours for everything about everything!

A very cool museum! We took tickets for the promotion at the National Museum of Qatar - the promotion included visits to three museums: the national, the Islamic and the Sports Museum. We liked this one the most, and what a view of the Persian Gulf there is!

Qatar National Museum - Rose of the Desert When I saw it live, I was shocked, starting with the designs and ending with the details of the museum. My architectural engineering brain has never experienced such pleasure. Thanks to Jean Nouvel and his interpretation of the organic form, and the walls in the form of fragile disks perform complex load-bearing abilities (amen arch concrete) But still, it's so cool that I wish everyone could see it live. I'll tell you more about the museum itself.…

A wonderful place with an amazing exhibition and exhibition halls. Very modern, unique, just amazing! Without a doubt, add this place to your "must-see" list. Inside, pay attention to the walls (a reference to Qatar's past)

Getting to the museum is very easy. For the first time, we decided to use the subway in Qatar and get to the museum. Upon exiting the station, the museum is immediately available. The impressions from the museum itself are the most positive. When visiting, keep in mind that it is open until 19, but visitors are asked to leave 45 minutes before closing.

The building of the museum was designed by architects. In the shape of a desert rose, a very interesting exposition. Four interactive areas for children. They are very high-quality and interestingly executed. Find the Energy zone, it is a little hidden, but very interesting. A golf cart takes guests from the parking lot to the building and back. Service 🌟

You can see the museum, of course. For me, he turned out to be more interesting from the outside. I didn't have enough filling inside. Considering that the country is only 54 years old, this is logical. Interesting interactive exhibitions …

It's not a museum, it's just "wow"! Starting from the museum building itself, ending with incredible installations and interactive exhibitions. It takes at least 6 hours to go to the museum to thoughtfully walk around and consider everything.

A good local history museum. One of the advantages is the beautiful modern architecture of the building, interesting in itself, a very cool collection of jewelry, including the Hohenzollern and Spencer tiaras, a modern form of presentation of the exposition. It's only worth going for the jewelry. Otherwise, it is a regional museum of local lore with a good presentation of the material. You will find out how people lived here before they discovered oil and gas. Spoiler alert - we didn't live well. I visited the museum, I do not regret it and generally recommend it.

It is required to visit. Recommendations: - Ask for a "Russian guide", they will tell you how to get it, so you can listen to many exhibits from your phone. Take your headphones with you. - If you are interested in all the museums in Qatar, ask at the ticket counter to be given a single ticket to all 3 museums at once. It is valid for 5 days. It's free for children. Payment is for adults only. The cost of a single ticket is 99 local currency

As a child, I loved to cut various products and models out of plywood with a jigsaw. The architecture of this building strongly resembles those of my childhood products. Only the jigsaw was huge and he sawed it like a giant boy))). The huge building visually loses its bulkiness due to the intersection of these "plywood planes" and appears to be lighter and weightless than it actually is. This building opened to the public on March 28, 2019. The creator of the project and the architect is the magnificent Frenchman Jean Nouvel.

We are actively exploring Qatar on our way from Dubai. The fire Museum. The idea of monitors and 8D sound is beyond words. There is a free shuttle service on site from the parking lot to the museum entrance. There is also a free Wi-Fi. Very well maintained territory at the museum, lots of photos of locations. Definitely worth a visit

A typical museum of the Persian Gulf countries. But it's worth a visit. The limited number of historical exhibits (not counting weapons) is offset by lavish installations. Purchase at the museum store only by cards and using local currency.

The East is a delicate matter : if you wanted to have a wedding and close the museum without announcing it on the website , then you 're welcome . In general, if you want to go to a museum or an excursion, it's not a fact that you will get there. I will not try my luck a second time and leave the sea.

The Museum of Local History, which presents the history of Qatar from ancient times to the present day. It is interesting both the building itself, built in a futuristic style, and the exposition, which contains a lot of interactive content interesting for both adults and children. The disadvantage for a Russian tourist is the lack of a Russian audio guide, without which much will remain unclear. You can arrange with Russian-speaking guides in Doha to include the museum in the tour. Tickets are valid for three days from the date of purchase, so you can visit the museum with a guide on the first day, and then explore it in more detail in the following days.
